Here's a helpful hint that AAA game companies can't seem to grasp.

Take whatever release date you set and push it back 6 months so that you can have a working game on release since, after all, Rainbow six siege has been out for five and it isn't any better than it was in the open beta. In fact, I'd say it's worse than it was.

We don't give a damn about pretty weapon's skins or free weekends or double xp weekends. We DEMAND a working game to be released and if we have to wait an extra 6 months, so effin be it. We will wait. If there are a large amount of bugs found in the beta's, then delay it further. DO NOT release something that is knowingly broken just to appease customers.

I'd rather wait and get a game that's actually WORTH the money and works properly than have some broken, buggy, piece of junk just thrown in our face. Your games are one of the most pirated because people feel that they are not worth their hard earned money. If you want to reduce piracy of your games, MAKE THEM WORTH IT.

Take a look at your older games. They are fun to play and worked when they were released. The bugs were minimal and you could even play them without even running into a bug or glitch. Now, the games are so broken that we don't even expect them to be fixed at all. We just hope they get less worse.

I'm posting this on this game's forum because it hasn't been released yet. There is still a small ray of hope that you can learn from Siege and The Division and release something that could be called playable.

Ah if the gaming industry was as simple as you describe it ...
The truth is : It's not as simple as you describe it. And you are not the only one thinking like this, and I'm sad for you

We all want a "perfect" game but it's impossible :
I'm ready to wait a long time to see this game as good as I want him to be, an awesone game. But keep in mind that a perfect game doesn't exist.
I realy want, like a lot of us here, that they take their time to create the best game they can create but they have limitations and you don't have to forgot these limitations.

The "it was batter before" is false, the gaming industry is not the same and worked differently back in 2005 for example.
It's a lot more complexe: you have now a lot of investisors, deadlines, last minutes technical limitations, ...
And if you think devs don't work enough ... I'm realy sad for you because it's completely false ! It's one of the industry were people have a lot of love making their job and take a lot of extra-time to improve it ... I'm realy sad for you if you think that I lie to you

I could write a big article just on this subject, but I will stop there. We all want an awesone game! The fact is that is so complexe that a lot of people don't understand it ... I know it's hard to understand.

Thx for your contribution mate, I do agree that they have to take the time they need with no dead line to release a game.

OP, There are more conformist than Non-conformist so don't hold your breath... they know people will buy their games regardless of the state is in. You will loose!

At the end of the day Ubisoft has the responsibility to publish finished unbroken games! I know it is complexed to develope AAA titles.. but is their decisions, and themselves that got them where they are today (third largest publisher).. with the good and the bad that comes along.
The possibly hostile takeover from Vivendi is something bad that is for sure!

Ubisoft made a lot of mistakes but they realized it and started to change their method. It's better but they have still some work to do to improve the relation with the community but we should wait.

Oh I know it better than a lot of you ! Vivendi is the worst thing that could happen to Ubisoft ... I'm french and Vivendi with Bolloré is a realy bad news for Ubisoft ...
In France when they buy a company it's to make the more money they can from it. Then the company is dead and they go destroy an other company. It's worth it for them ...
All specialists say that if Vivendi take the control of Ubisoft : game will have less devs on them, shortest deadlines, ... = more games but completly unpolished
Some of you think that Ubisoft made the worst game they could create few years ago, unpolished ... But with Vivendi it would be even worst ...

The only "positive" thing is that Bolloré ( the Vivendi's Boss ) said he don't want to buy the company, but we can't realy trust him he is lying too often.

I'm sorry but where and when exactly did they started to do that? Or do you mean, they will start NOW with the release of Wildlands!

This could be look at totally the opposite and state that once UBIsoft implodes, something better will come from it. There is always someone looking to start fresh or at least with finished product to try to get more customers... it is clear that UBI does not care.

Do not misconstrue, I never said they don't know what they are doing or have potential... as of late though, they are the pirates taking money from loyal and/or uninformed customer for unfinished product.

So let get this straight... your experienced holds more water or more important than mine or the many other people complaining of broken, unfinished, unpolished games at launch? or patches that break more stuff than it fixes??

Is your experienced based on Console or PC?

If by now they haven't gotten all of the positive feedback given by you and others that they need then they will never finished the game.

Again, it is perfectly clear to me that your bar is set differently than mine is. You are more politically correct than I am, no doubt but since you don't pay for my food or games, I believe I have a right to complain when someone is trying to steal my money... or I have to take your opinion into consideration first.

I played Siege from launch onward for a couple of months and it wasn't bad at all. The Division on the other hand is still a mess today, I don't think they gave it even close to enough testing before launch. I think that is more Massive's fault than Ubisoft though. Only things I didn't like about Siege was that they gutted the character customization and didn't add a co op campaign, both things I loved in RS Vegas 2.
