Can the division be saved ?? Imo YES it can.

I don't usually post on forums but felt now was a good time to do so. As the title asks can the Division be saved ? .... simple answer is YES it can. "How can it be saved?" I hear you cry, well its needs many things to come together but here's my input on how I believe it can be done.

First of all I want to give a little background on myself so you know I'm not just some 15 yr old "carebear" .

I've been a gamer for most of my teenage and adult life, and I'm now 42 lol. I've probably played every type of game you can you can think of, some bad some good. I've also alpha and beta tested games on various occasions. So I'm no noob when it comes to seeing things happen that shouldn't within a game.

So let's get this thing rolling....

I've been reading a lot of posts on here and on other websites regarding this game, YES it's got its issues, YES it's not quite what Ubi/Massive invisioned. A vast and I mean a vast majority of the fore mentioned posts have all been slamming Ubi/Massive for their incompetence. Could they of done better ??, most definately, could they of fixed the issues quicker??, probably.

For example let's take the "glitch", "exploit issue" that's been plaguing the game since day one. For me as a gamer and as someone who has tested games I find it very worrying that " Mobile Cover" was not either disabled or removed as soon as the issue was identified. In any other game I've played or tested there has ALWAYS been a way for them to disable any skill or feature at any time. Why this wasn't the case here I don't know I'm not a programmer so what's involved is beyond my pay grade.

So with that and other issues this game has how can WE as the community instead of slamming Ubi/Massive actually help them fix and solve the issues

well there are a few ways in my opinion.

First off we need Ubi/Massive to actively join the community and really get to know it's players, (after all we keep them in their jobs by buying their products). Whether this means regular Q&A sessions with actual players, live streams from the devs themselves.( Trion world were awesome for this with Rift).

Secondly Ubi/Massive need better testing, it made me chuckle a little when I read their recent statement were they said "they couldn't test how thousands of people would play the game". Hmm sorry but that's a lame excuse for a basic mechanic in the game that was obviously broken from the start. They need to do testing which involve ACTUAL PLAYERS, to go into the testing and on purpose try and make the game do something it shouldn't be able to do, after all isn't that what testing is for ??

WE as the player community can help make this game as good as we hoped it would be, the potential is there it just needs our help and encouraging. I for one will keep my fingers crossed that Ubi/Massive are really listening to its players and takes some steps to make this game as good as they invisioned.

I totally agree but after a game like Assasin's Creed Unity, it will be hard to lure players back to play a game that been a disappointment. Once bitten, twice shy. I'm not sure I want to come back to such a crap reward system and crap crafting system... and I have the season pass from buying the Sleeper Agent Edition. I really don't know if I could ever invest more time in a game that has ceased to be fun for me.

I agree with you for the most part, but do you think they can take the necessary steps to do this? I mean they need to be drastic steps, not baby steps, because honestly at this point and watching the player numbers I'm kind of depressed, I haven't looked forward to a game like this since WoW, and I seriously mean that, and to be getting let down like this is just , uuuunnnnngghghghghghgh. FML.

I wan't them to make me fall in love with this game again, but I'm not as much of an optimist as you are. I'm very much a realist. With as far backwards as they have gone in this whole process, the damage might be irreversible. I can't say that with 100% certainty but it sure does feel that way to me.

Oh i agree its no small feat but it can be done IF UBI/MASSIVE are serious about their product and want it to succeed .

Again, I'm in total agreement. Ubisoft should be in crisis mode right now or at the very least more concerned. Lack of communication gives the appearance of not caring about the players or the game. In all honesty, there are a numbers of things that would make this game better but I'm not sure if the game can be "saved".

I feel your pain there mate, was a WoW player for almost 10yrs lol

If UBI/MASSIVE are serious about their product then who knows, depends IF they have the guts to admit that they got it wrong and accept that we the players know what works and what doesn't ,despite how a dev invisions it on paper.

Indeed it was and i have to agree , it makes my mind boggle as a long time gamer and tester that so many basic game mechanics which have issues were allowed to get into the game.
