Quit for a week to send a message

    Lets stage a week-long walkout.

The Division is obviously suffering from poor management in-house. More and more errors are piling up and the devs aren't doing much to make the game better (crap phoenix/DZ gear this week, really? Broken dailies again?). They are having to spend all their time fixing errors in this open beta status game. It is obvious a person who doesn't play video games is in charge.

I like The Division and want to see it succeed. The problem is we as gamers have little power to fix it. They already have our $ right? I suggest we do what we can to send a strong message as to our displeasure. Stop playing the game for a week. Let the login numbers drop fatally.

It's the only power we have right now...

Please post your thoughts below so we can help the devs build the game we all want.

If you get a few hundred thou to do this they might take notice, but you and your friends alone won't make any difference. Besides I think they're pretty seriously working to fix what they are able to.

If you like the game and want it to succeed, why stage a "strike" rather than supporting your community teams by finding and reporting the issues so that they can be fixed?

Protesting won't do much, best bet is to just walk away for a while and play something else like myself and my entire friends list did a few weeks back. Game is pretty broken and its great they are taking a stance on the cheaters/exploiters etc BUT the fact is the game is still broken, My opinion it would be in Massive's best interest to give the Division the Final Fantasy treatment, take the game offline for a while and rebuild and fix. Many of us bought Destiny a few weeks back, pretty solid game and would be more than enough to hold ones interest for a long while until Massive gets their stuff together and makes the Division a somewhat functioning game.

My wife said I could start building another rat rod so I might be playing much less. At the end of building it, at least I know it will work as intended and if I am not happy with it, the resale value isn't **** like a trade in game.

Hmm, conflicted on this considering protests can wield positive results, this unfortunately wouldn't have the desired result I'm afraid. It will go something like this.

Player base: We aren't playing your game for x amount of time because (insert litany of reasons here), please fix.
Ubi: Bye, thanks for the money and thanks for saving us money! Now we don't have to have more paid bodies doing server maintenance, and we can nix a few servers in the process.
    Player base: !

Lets see what the next patch is offering, if nothing, then, it's a loss with a lesson learned. What can you do but move on and never buy from their company again? It should also give gamers incentive to stop blindly pre-ordering things with other companies to discourage such sloppiness. We'd see much better games in the end that rarely need patching which would allow them to focus in on better DLC content.

Money talks, consumer rights in this industry are pretty much non existent. Want to send a clear straight forward message? Boycott 100% any future games they plan on selling. It's the only way to get things done. Sadly, that's never going to happen though.

Protests only have an affect, if they have an effect.

If the company made money based on how many people logged into the game each 24 hour period, then protesting by not logging into the game for a week would be effective and have an affect on the system.

50,100, even 2000 people not logging into a game for a day, or a week, while showing a decrease in the concurrency for the tracking numbers for the company wont have as big an affect as you would hope.

If you listened and made the changes asked for in a timely matter, I would. Just the same ole amateur mistakes over and over again. We expect more from a AAA game.
