    please help me understand this...

I have a pair of knee pads that add to 513 firearms and 17 crit dmg, I crafted a better pair (so i thought) which has 604 firearms and THE EXACT SAME 17 crit dmg, both have a socket and which i removed to compare them, minor attributes on both are just resistance. skill attributes on them are 2 I don't use. So why when comparing the new one to my currently equipped old one does it show my dps go down?? It actually takes my firearms from 2737 to 2828 but somehow takes my dps down from 213k to 191k?? Anyone have a clue?? Thanks.

You haven't glanced your dps stats with primary or secondary in different slots by mistake?

Not sure what you mean exactly, I've noticed my primary and secondary stats change on occasion for no reason really.

I would actually like somebody who understands how the mechanics (if that's the right word) of the gear/weapon stats in this game works, to explain to this dummy and how to manipulate the different attributes to control the values of those three main stats (DPS etc) across the top.

Try to post images of the 2 different items, showing all of the stats. This way they can be viewed to see if anything different really stands out that would be causing the difference in numbers.

Ok it shows the dps will go down but when I switch it it actually goes up. I have no idea. It's just glitched I guess.

It might not be accounting for the set bonuses when you preview.
