Not true it is not that bad on hard...on challenge it is straight up impossible to solo...I would be shocked if someone pulled that off.

Use the correct talents, since many people tend to forget these exist. Also, yes, survivor link is what you need and the overheal from first aid also will get you that extra health to survive the 2 turrets raining on your ***.
And please use rolls. Dont go running directly towards the turrets as they will halt you, I see too many people running and not rolling when close to the turrets.
And to state the obvious, you would prefer more health and armor if you're going solo. Dont go with 1million damage and 5k health thinking you'll rekt everything.

Timing is pretty important here. Go to plant the bomb some seconds after the main gun fires so when you go out of the hiding spot the main gun fires again at you but you will be running towards it so the red area won't get you. If your timing is right the main gun will fire again when you are running back towards the pit or when you're just arriving to the pit.

Doing FL on hard solo is VERY fun once you know whatsup.

Oddly enough I can solo the Incursion but not any of the challnge missions... To deal with the bomb I always use overheal and disable one turret. If your health and armor are high enough (which I know yours are) you should be able to plant the bomb and run back to cover without losing to much health. I use my survivor link if need be but normally I can do the first 2 bomb rounds without using it. Use cover to cover. The sentrys don't shoot you if you use cover to cover movements. Another easy way to do it is to throw a turret. For some reason the sentry guns will aim at your turret instead of you.

I FINALLY beat Warren gate solo day before yesterady.
I ran a few missions without the sentry set, and have gone back to it now. It makes a huge difference. People I run with that are more causal are asking what the difference is, it's the gear for sure. Super, I've got goals. I need to memorize warren gate better on who comes out the doors first at each section.

Before the entrance to the room do 3 barrel rolls to avoid turret hits...run inside and right before you power down the turret pop your first aid overheal...this will give you an over heal...turn off the turret, run and place the bomb...run back into the room...generally needs one more barrel roll, turn off the turret again and run back to the middle.
I'm usually the bomb runner, I d three barrel rolls, every time.

Wha?... That's not true at all. I can take down like 3 shotgunners with 1 mag. With my critical hit chance at 58% before pulse and my crit damage at 178% before pulse, when I do pulse I can mop up most enemies in a short burst. The Incursion really isn't that hard to solo. I honestly think it's easier than the challenge missions because the tactics are so basic, sit and wait. On the other hand you have to have relatively good gear. I have the 4 set of strikers with 230K DPS and 85K health. I've been trying to solo it since it came out and wasn't able to do it until recently. I tried it at 180K DPS and 65K health and made it to round 5 and slowly progressed from there as my stats went up.

I got my head handed to me trying russian and watergate, Haven't tried Lex.yet, though it seems theoretically possible. except for the roof. Never got very far in Hard Falcon and I decided I wasn't masochistic enough to try ever again solo.

You cant do it on challenging anyway. There are only 4 main story missions you can set to challenging.

    Lexington Event Center
    Warrengate Power Plant
    Lincoln Tunnel Checkpoint
    Russian Consulate
