I've got two lvl 30 characters.
Today, i've decided to do my daily quests on my two toons, because i badly need crafting materials (thanks to the nerf).
So i had 6 missions to run (3 per character).
2 Broadway Emporium missions didn't begin.
2 Lexington Event Center missions didn't begin.
So technically, i had a 40% bug rate joining the missions.
Furthermore, i've successfully joined a Lex mission half-way, and was immediately kicked from the group, because people were fighting and i couldn't teleport to them, i had to run from the entrance.
So technically, i've experienced a 50% failure rate joining the missions.
Then, i joined a group, and there was the server shutdown announcement, which stressed everybody.
All this is almost 2 months after the game's release.
What else can i add ... ?
Be the host of your missions.
Instead of starting the mission from the map, start it after fast travel.
Since doing this haven't had a glitched mission start. I think missions become bugged when a player teleports out of the mission area, without leaving the combat area. I can't confirm this, but it's my theory.
My typical PC Session - Log into the game. Fast travel to base of operations, ignore 3 spammers if I can figure out the I from the L in their names. Get frustrated because I can't ignore one particularly nasty combination of I's and L's.
Begin daily missions - End up with a 60% success rate in actually having the missions work. Hard missions first then challenging. Randoms in challenging mode all die, I have to pop my special and run around reviving them. I then get to pour dps on a named only to see all three of them die again. Finally finish challenging mode and go to the DZ.
Kill first named (at the library), notice the PC are red and then see I have 1000 PC. Check the chests and both have been looted already.
Supply drop incoming - As i'm killing the boss player takes the supplies and bugs out.
Start moving to next Supply drop - Rogue one shots me through a building and loots the two drops I have without getting near me. Kill messages from the hacker spam the area as he kills everyone in sight. I change servers. Re-enter the DZ and don't make the end of the block before another hacker clears the zone.
I respawn at the check point.
Leave the DZ and start running materials. Get 12 greens in a row and log out.
@G.I.Frag : I could at least do the hard missions on solo, i've never tried the challenge mode solo.
But ... this is a multiplayer game, i should be f*ck*ing matchmaking !!!
Frankly, i don't know what is exactly the bug's root cause.
But i'm not paid for that. This is a basic feature on PvE, i don't understand how it passed the alpha, the beta, the commercial release and the successive patches, and how the bug is still affecting 100% of the matchmaking users.
@Pixel Crisis : i'm not running the dailies for the drops (they are sh*tty anyway, at my gs level), i do them for the 5x each blue mats.
And in the dailies, i have to do 1 challenge mode per character, for Phoenix Credits if i do remember.
This has no sense, as i understand it, the answer you give to my problems is skipping all the "fun" features the game has to offer.
Don't do challenge mode, multiplayer. Play console.
Ok, i understand. I think i'll go farm Final Fantasy II on Super NES ...
