I think its unreasonable to ban hackers for 14 days. If caught cheating you should loose your division game account. The hacking issue is getting worse because no one cares about the 14 day ban. It's literally a joke and the hackers I have encountered in the last 2 days have literally said who cares, no one is getting banned. My understanding is there is a legal issue with starting with permanent bans but if Ubisoft doesn't do something fast this game is just going to flop. I have been one of its biggest defenders, I have 300 hours of played time. I spend a lot of time in the game playing and mostly its fun until I go into the Dark Zone where people are speed hacking, rate of fire hacking, and head shot hacking, just to name a few. It was very discouraging at first but then hacking was the rarity. Now the hackers are bragging about it and every dark zone instance I have been in has had several hackers. I am pretty close to my breaking point, cause I love PvP and this taints it to the advantage of the cheaters. Either stop gating the best gear in the game behind dark zone farming until its fixed or you are going to loose a lot of people.

A one year ban might as well be the same as a life-time ban given the speed at which new game titles are released. Perhaps this would be a good compromise for those wanting a lifetime ban for the 1st offense?

A 2-week suspension seems like a good warning shot for players caught cheating -- let's face it, the penalty can't be too severe so as to permanently alienate potential customers for future game titles.

If you want a real life-time ban, you have to incorporate personally identifiable information or biometrics into account creation, and we know that is never going to happen.

Umm, yes they were indeed banned on the stream. I do not know if you were watching the whole thing or not, but they were indeed banned. 5 hackers confirmed.

The thing is, don't let the stream put a veil over your eyes people. The hacker problem is still hugely widespread and, yes, people did get banned on stream, but it does not mean there are widespread bans.

The only way they can truly fix this hacker problem is to implement some anticheat, oooh I wish for Fairfight, oooh that would be love, and then they need to make mechanics of the game SERVER sided and not client (but this will take a lot of effort to rework the game in this regard)

I am pretty much giving Massive about 1-2 months, and if there is no anti-cheat system or if the hacker problem is not quelled.... I'm deleting this **** from my PC.

Script kiddies and players using glitches are cheaters and should get a 14 day ban and have their characters reset.

For sure here is a Message from Massive/Ubisoft after Beta:

"We are aware of the cheating issues in the Closed Beta on PC. The team is fully committed to providing solutions against this and a system will be in place to ensure a fair experience for players when the game is released on March 8th 2016"

    I would say....mission failed complely!
