The total opposite for me:Originally Posted by FourLeaf11 Go to original post
90% of the time kick is because player is headless, mindless chicken.
10% of the time the player is kicked at the start because he's running two weapons that we know are trash and won't effectively take down enemies.
We always try to help them first. Tell them where they're going wrong etc, but most won't/refuse to listen. I don't get enough gaming hours in to spend an extra 1/2 hour to an hour in an incursion because someone is being stupid and wont listen. Hard/Challenge modes are different as carrying is much easier, we'll finish it off, we just won't run another one with that player.Originally Posted by zknight4 Go to original post
There's four of us who play together regularly, but two of them are from the US, so the option to go pre-made isn't always there unfortunately.
ya thats messed up. its one thing to get kicked from a challenge mission taking 20 minutes, but incursion usually takes longer and that is just messed up.
can you host the incursion like other missions? until they fix it id suggest to just host the mission for now on. although its discouraging and doesnt solve the problem exactly it can help you avoid those jerks again.
were these people using mics? i wonder if they would not boot someone who they talked to during the whole mission. probably owuldnt make any difference just wondering
The problem with the incursion is that no one new can join your instance anyway, making booting pointless.Originally Posted by PureNomad Go to original post
Because the probably thought they can get away with being *******s and invite one of their low gear score buddies to snatch the loot at the end like what said *******s do in challenge missions. With the incursion, however, you can't have someone new join you once you've started your instance.Originally Posted by SDZald Go to original post
Hopefully they found out the hard way and wiped right after they kicked you.
More than likely they were just being ****s. It seems to be rampant between this game and Destiny.Originally Posted by SDZald Go to original post
I haven't done the incursion yet, but just so I know, what are the weapons one SHOULD use for it? What's your recommended DPS for even trying it? I know what the mission lists as being minimum but I want to know from a player that's done it before, what do you look for?Originally Posted by DA-NT3 Go to original post
You don't need anything stupid m8. If you can get to gearscore 170+ you should be good. The only real weapons worth running currently are Assault Rifles, SMGs and Sniper Rifles. Out of those I'd recommend a decent AK-74 for the rifle, AUG, MP5 or Vector for the SMG and either an M44 or M1 for the Sniper rifle. Get yourself a combination of any of those and toy about with mods. Don't stack too much accuracy, as it can give you a false sense of DPS, but I'd recommend having maybe one (two at the very most) with 20%'ish on. If you can manage it, get yourself a decent pair of gloves with the savage talent on them. Savage talent with Crit chance, Crit damage and weapon damage major talents are always nice and will give you a nice DPS boost.Originally Posted by resynch Go to original post
As for stamina, aim for a minimum of 60k. So essentially, if you can amass at least 150-170k DPS and 60k health, you should be able to do just enough to be useful to an incursion team. Good luck!
The problem is not about incursions or underperforming players, but how group management is performed.
In order to limit ABUSE and unnecesary frustration.
In WoW, you don't have a kick command, you have a votekick command, so one person gone angry or mad cannot kick you without a good reason.
And important loot (not the one on trashes but on bosses) don't need to be picked up, it goes directly to your inventory.
So even if you're kicked just after beating the boss, you have the loot you've worked for.
With this features, you simply avoid most of the problems and disputes about grouping or looting.
This type of mechanics were refined for years so they can garantee a good player experience.
It's rather disappointing that Massive / Ubisoft didn't copy them, as they were already matured and not subjected to any form of copyright =)
