Looks like UBi scratching the backs of Stream House for sticking with the game, no biggie. It would be cool if they randomly visited other streamers feeds to do the same though.

It was a memorable twitch moment. now about an anti-cheat that does this consistently without human intervention...

My opinion also. Good something is happening now but the need to go ingame and ban hackers/cheaters manually makes me think this game is not going to get any decent anti cheat implemented into the game. If so we might wonder if this ingame banning is going to be the anti cheat method for the next year? Then let me tell you that a 14 day ban is not going to do it.

I applaud them, frankly...though it's still very upsetting that the bans are once again temporary. Hack users should be perma-banned, period. No ifs, ands, or buts. They don't "learn their lesson" and become well-behaved...their only intent is to destroy other people's gaming experiences for their own gain. They have absolutely no place in the game and directly threaten the longevity of the product.

His logic is we are gullible for believing what we read on the internet and believing that people were banned, because he would have read on the internet people complaining about being banned, disregard anything he ever posts as its all just conjecture

Exploiting buggy mechanics is not the same as altering game code in memory (hackers).

The Streamerhouse issue is hackers (specifically on the PC) using speed hacks, rate of fire hacks, teleport hacks, and so on.

I don't care if someone "cheeses" Falcon Lost. While there is an impact on the gameplaty of others, it is not significant. A hacker one shotting people through walls from half a map away has a far more significant impact.

I should all be fixed, but the hackers are a priority as they directly impact other players.

Obviously this was a stunt. We never see what they are doing and they can not tell us the people they ban, or for what reasons. They showed us that they are working on it. The normal procedure is not to play and ban if running into a hacker. I have done moderating for an online mmo game in the past and everything was very secretive including the tools we used to catch people running scripts and multiple accounts. I am glad to see they did show the community on live stream they are working on the problem for the PC player base. These forms would look a lot different if it was not for hacker posts by a 3rd of the community.

Prior to that they had a head in the sand mentality, and thought that the outcry from their customer base was bogus.
Not because Hamish experienced it. But because it was witnessed by many others on live twitch stream. After that there was no denying the issue.

Exaclty. This method of catching and banning cheaters is highly inefficient, and therefore not very effective. so we watched 9 cheaters get banned in 2 hours.... what about the hundreds or maybe even thousands of others? It's mathematically impossible to make a significant impact using this current method.

What's really nuts is that there were 9 hackers that got caught in a 2 hour period at some random time.

How many dam cheaters are there? (I refuse to call them hackers cause hacking implies a skilled programmer)
