While it was fun watching a few obvious cheaters getting insta banned, all this video shows is the futility of catching/banning cheaters. I mean, is a player report with accompanying video the only way they can track cheaters? Sure seems that way, and if that's the case, they will only catch an insignificant amount of cheaters.
Even more sad is that Hamish had to feel cheats on his own back to do that.Originally Posted by Ezilyamuz3d Go to original post

With Update 1.1 now behind us, and Update 1.2 in the works, we also want to briefly mention our ongoing work related to bug exploits.
We are currently adjusting our processes and policies in order to better track and deter exploiters, in line with industry standards and out of fairness and respect for the larger The Division community.
Expect more details on this in the next days.
Quickly? I'm of the opinion that had Hamish not gotten killed by a hacker, this "ban wave" wouldn't have happened. I'd imagine that hundreds of reports with videos have been sent in by now, and they've done nothing, UNTIL he experienced it first hand.Originally Posted by MalibuMafiaV Go to original post
Prior to that they had a head in the sand mentality, and thought that the outcry from their customer base was bogus.
That is probably part of why it took this long. I am sure a good chunk of those 100's or reports were false positives.Originally Posted by Agrobash Go to original post

You think? The ones I watched that were linked on the forum (before they were removed for naming and shaming lol) were pretty damning. When you're getting shot through cover and watching the guy teleport, seems to me that it would be a slam dunk.Originally Posted by III_Hammer_III Go to original post
I'd imagine a metric *** ton of /report XXXX were filed, but if they're providing videos, seems to me someone wouldn't go through the trouble of jumping through all the hoops that UBI/Massive require to report if there wasn't something shady going on.
Of course he can;t confirm, thsis guy is full of ****e.Originally Posted by FireSnakeZero Go to original post
