I only just started using RoF instead of Weapon Damage. 100.5% mag size and 23.5% RoF, which I thought was good, because despite the fact my DPS dropped I started melting people to the point I was getting regular messages saying I was glitching.

37% though..? That would be ridiculous. Guess I've got a reason to farm mats again.
I have the Extended Mag blueprint from base Special Vendor & I rolled (after dozens) a +29.50% rate of fire & +102% mag sze .. a +37% rate of fire from DZ vendor would be awesome

I already had the Level 31 Extended Magazine Mod from the BoO and thought, well why wouldn't a 32 be that much better.

After my initial shock at the crafting cost of the mod wore off - I made one - I got +102.5% Mag Size and Reload Speed. Not a horrible Mag Size modifier but not that much higher than 31's I've crafted and since I don't prefer Reload speed it was an immediate breakdown - 1 Gold Tool in return, smh.

Then I built just one more - +87% Mag Size and +7% Crit Hit Chance ...What the actual hell?

I've made Level 31 Mags that have much better stats than that on both the Mag Size and Crit Chance.

Why would a 32 mod, that cost so much to craft, even have the option to roll stats worse than a 31?

i've always felt that the attribute gap in items is too wide, and over laps the next lowest power level item too much.
e.g. iLvl32 magazine, can go from, for example, 105% down to 85%. and the iLvl31 can go from 100% down to 80%.

thats too much of an overlap, and renders 95% of those manufactured items worthless. biggest problem is, this same attribute gap and over lap is exactly the same for looted items as well.
the idea of these things should be that the items should be mostly an upgrade, so when something drops or is crafted, its down to 10ths of a percent of an upgrade. also looted items should have a smaller attribute gap, and a smaller over lap. after all, massive want us to farm for gear upgrades by looting them.

i still think that crafting is still the more popular way to upgrade your gear. so the 1.1 changes didnt actually do anything beneficial accept nerf the living poo out of crafting.

What was the Damage value you got, if I may ask?
I cant remember right now but was something exactly like that. The only thing that improved my mag was the size. So i got a little push on my dps.
Im gonna try make new ones than i will report here

Interesting. I got some mags with 100% + some ROF incraese that i've always neglected after I got a 90% extended + 37% crit damage. I'll give RoF a chance today and see.

I've seen the same thing. I'm pretty sure the level 32 extended magazine blueprint is bugged. I compared level 31 and level 32 firearm armor mods (something like 110-145 for level 31 and 130-165 for level 32). But in the case of the extended magazine - I've crafted 2 level 31 blueprints over 100% size and weapon damage, but after crafting about 7 level 32 extended mags I've yet to ever get one over 95% mag size.

If the level 32 extended mag blueprint isn't bugged than the level of the item means absolutely nothing on extended mags when it totally means something on armor mods. Definitely sounds like a bug.

This is exactly what I figured. The overlap, while expected in some small amount, is just ridiculous.

not only that, but you can potentially have a iLvl32 thats worse than an iLvl30 because of this.

yep i too wasted all those DZ funds thinking hey i could get a 105%-115% mag size with a random stat that will also be higher but infact the rolls were worse than the 31 bp i have i mean WTAF i wasted alot of div tech not to mention the mats aswell on this crap, NEEDS FIXING!!

There is overlap in the rolls you can get within gear scores.

Top end 163 rolls can be better than low end 182 rolls.

I don't see a big problem with that, except that it can make gear score misleading.

If people already have not already figured out gear score is misleading, they should have.
