Level 32 Weapon Mods vs. Level 31 Weapon Mods

So I've been leveling up my DZ Rank a lot lately and consequently found myself with near a half million DZ Funds - so I figured, why not purchase the Level 32 Extended Magazine Mod from the DZ Vendor. I already had the Level 31 Extended Magazine Mod from the BoO and thought, well why wouldn't a 32 be that much better.

After my initial shock at the crafting cost of the mod wore off - I made one - I got +102.5% Mag Size and Reload Speed. Not a horrible Mag Size modifier but not that much higher than 31's I've crafted and since I don't prefer Reload speed it was an immediate breakdown - 1 Gold Tool in return, smh.

Then I built just one more - +87% Mag Size and +7% Crit Hit Chance ...What the actual hell?

I've made Level 31 Mags that have much better stats than that on both the Mag Size and Crit Chance.

Why would a 32 mod, that cost so much to craft, even have the option to roll stats worse than a 31?

It's not just mods, there are even 182 weapons/armor that tend to be better than 204 weapons/armor. The RNG in this game is crazy.

After 8 crafts got an extended mag with 101% and 37% of fire rate! Thats amazing

It has the potential to be better, but their ranges of stats have to overlap to some degree with the inferior versions. If they didn't, there wouldn't be any reason to craft any more once you got the desired secondary ability. It's the grind that is important. Keep the players playing.

I've still level 30 purple weapon mods on my main 204 weapons I've likely had since launch week, not sure if they messed up mod stats early in the game or they've nerfed lvl 31/32 yellow mods... but they're clearly inferior now to what we used to get.

    so confusing

Yeah, I have some purple mods on my sniper rifle. Can't seem to find anything better.

I bought the lvl 32 ext mag and gave me a little extra damage. For the cost i would say that is not worth it if you already have a 100%+ lvl 31 ext mag

Got all those with % weapon damage wich is at least my choise.

I too am a fan of the +Mag/+Weapon Dmg mods - I have a couple of +mid-nineties% Mag size and +12.5% Weapon Dmg that are mainstays on my Primary & Secondary.

What was the Damage value you got, if I may ask?

You can get 37% RoF..? Wat.

I only just started using RoF instead of Weapon Damage. 100.5% mag size and 23.5% RoF, which I thought was good, because despite the fact my DPS dropped I started melting people to the point I was getting regular messages saying I was glitching.

37% though..? That would be ridiculous. Guess I've got a reason to farm mats again.
