We are no longer handing out 3 day bans. 14 day ban, then permaban for repeat offenders.

Our detection has been upgraded a lot, so we can ban that way now and a big wave of that is incoming. We are verifying these bans through the same detection.

Finally!
Completely agree. Auto bans have a huge potential for false positives, but this is a step in the right direction. Now we'll see if they're just stringing us along, or if they're going to really deliver.Originally Posted by gt2k Go to original post
Huh. This Dijit guy from Massive is also saying that the whole Client Side Trust thing isn't true....

Also says that they can't legally ban someone without first e-mailing them. That's a new one for me as well. Must be one of those wild EU laws I hear about.
I will say this is the first day in around a week that I've played the DZ and wasn't gunned down by a rage hacker within 10 minutes.
The only hacker I saw was some combination of lililililillliiill that was teleporting from boss to boss. Saw the same player on two different servers. Blink and you miss those guys, thank you Shadowplay!
Unless they found that 3 days wasn't working. They are allowed to change their mind.Originally Posted by NitroMidgets Go to original post
You mean like an ever evolving and changing TOS where you get notice of the change when they deem you violated it? See my point?Originally Posted by Kyosji Go to original post
This would be like suddenly changing direction on the glitchers and when they log in they find out they too are suspended for two weeks when previously they were told not to worry about it.
****, I hope they go after those who glitched the Incursion as well. Two weeks off for them also.
