    Stuck and can't progress

So I've been a little frustrated and am looking for advice. I'm having trouble progressing in the game. I'm currently at GS 184 135/70/15. I'm also level 45 in the DZ. I currently have a sentry's call, two nomad, and a striker. I would like to go striker for DPS, is that a good idea? First of all, it takes forever to level up in the DZ for me since I'm not geared well enough to constantly go rogue and will just end up losing XP. I'm confused on how to get gear and weapons from the BoO since it's all so expensive now! I currently have 239 phoenix credits which is the most I've ever had but its not anywhere close to get anything good. Am I wasting my time doing daily missions? Should I be focused on leveling up in the dark zone solely? I'm just confused on what to do at the moment because I feel like I'm so far behind - and the people who play a ton are making it worse because they have a ton of phoenix credits and they will keep increasing the prices. I play about 2-3 hours a day which doesn't seem like enough because of school. What should I be doing?

Well, I play 2-3 hours a day and have GS 199

Recently spent some Phoenix Credits because I was nearing the 999 CAP, bought several set piece blueprints before that as well.

What you should do is play daily missions on hard and also challenge daily mission for PC. Be sure to loot the bosses since they also drop PC.
Keep playing Challenge missions (they reward you PC every time).

Keep an eye out on the daily activities as well, one of them gives 10 PC each day.

All in all not that hard to farm 100-150 PC a day.

In the DZ only named bosses drop small amount of PC, but if you are there leveling you should make sure to pick those up on the way.

Welp, for DPS I'd suggest a mixture of Striker and Sentry. Make Sentry your 4 piece if you are decent with getting headshots. Major boost to damage.

As for PC, they aren't difficult to get anymore. 2 Hard Mode Daily completions = 20PC + 2-6 from the boss. 1 Challenge Mode = 20 PC for completing the daily + 30 for completing a challenge mode + 1-3 PC depending on bosses. That alone, just for doing ~30-45 minutes of work is ~73-79 PC per day.You also get another 10 for one of the other kill dailies you do in the PvE area. That makes your total for your dailies alone, all which can be done in roughly an hour at most, ~83-89 PC for doing your PvE dailies. You can then also do AS MANY challenge modes as you want, each giving you 30 PC. A typical challenge mode can take 20-30 minutes in a bad group, so you can get another 62-99 PC an hour.

For what to spend your PC on, I'd save up for the 214 or whatever GS set items. They are 300-350 each, but well worth it. As for guns, work till you hit DZ 50 and keep checking the DZ03 vender till a decent SMG and/or AR come back up, or just buy the 182 MP5 and Black Market AK from the BoO to start yourself off. Vectors used to be great, but I'm finding that the MP5 is more satisfying, as you don't fight with a clip size.

I only play about 2-3 hours a day, but when I'm dedicated for those 3 hours, I have no issue gaining around 300 PC in that time each day.

Make sure you do all the dailies. They challenge mission alone gives 50 credits, if you do 10 missions a week along with the other weekly stuff they have that's another 30 credits a week. They usually have an easy daily that credits you 10. Then farm bosses in DZ even if you stick to the lower areas thats about 2-3 credits per boss. Supply drops give you 15 credits.

There are so many way to get Phoenix credits now. I usually play 2-3 hours a night also but in that time I manage to collect at least 100 credits per night.

Thank you! I wasn't aware you still got 30 PC for continuing to do the challenge missions, I thought they took those away. Any reason to go 4 with sentry rather than 4 with striker? Are sentry just better because of the headshot boosts?

Also, I'm currently running with the vector, do you advise to buy the MP5 and AK from BoO before the 214 gear?

I wouldn't say doing the dailies is a waste of time if you are still in need of Phoenix Credits. You can get at least 80 per day just doing those plus the daily Combat assignment. Use the match-making to get into the Challenging missions, I've had fairly good success with that. Based on your gear score, I would have expected your stats to be a tad higher, make sure that your firearms/stamina/electronics stats are focused on what you want to achieve rather than just taking whatever was on the highest gear score item you found. For example, if you want more DPS, make sure you have enough items providing the firearms stat, make sure you've got a gun whose talents you can unlock, that you've applied HE attachments to them, etc.

Once you have 182 HE items in each slot that you are happy with, get your DZ rank to 50. At that point you can start buying GS204 items from the safe houses. Continue collecting as many PCs as you can and watch the vendor in the Tech Wing as he will sell some 204 items that might be a good fit for you. As for the set pieces, I would only wear them when they are providing set bonuses. Wearing one piece from a set doesn't do much for you as you don't get a Talent on it. Unless that piece really was better than the HE item you were already wearing even without the Talent. I'd focus on getting two Sentry pieces for the 30% bonus headshot damage and then three Striker pieces for the 50% bonus critical damage. You can get two Sentry pieces just by buying the blue prints in the Base. After that you'll need to hope that other pieces either drop from Challenging mission bosses, named bosses/supply drops in the DZ or from running the Incursion.

    Good luck!

I play about 2 hours per day during the week and I just join a random group in the dz and farm named in dz05-06. You get 3-5 phoenix credits per named boss kill, you get high end gear for crafting material, and you gain dz exp...probably the best way to spend your time progressing in the game imo. Most people should be trying as hard as possible to get 90 dz rank so that they can purchase the blueprints for sale in dz03...last week they had a 204 aug blueprint and this week they have a SCAR I believe and also a shotgun (hopefully they re balance to make these usable). I am running a 3 piece striker set for the crit hit damage and 2 pieces of the sentry set for the headshot damage. My current stats are 292/62/10 and I am not bad in the dz against rogues..but there is always going to be someone better than you, if you die, just try to avoid the person and move on with your farming. Good Luck!

Make sure you have at least 3 of the same set, either Sentry or Striker. I am not entirely sure about this, but from I could observe, when you have 3 you unlock the second bonus which was a huge step up for me. I use 3 Nomads and 2 Striker and my second bonus is 20% Health with a kill, which is extremelly helpful. I also did some recalibration, to increase my ammo capacity. Now I can go around killing a bunch of NPC and getting my level up faster.

I currently have 1 Sentry's, 2 Nomad's, and a striker's. I know that's inefficient, and I will admit I've been equipping the higher GS items. As for my build I've been suspicious of my stats being low compared to my GS. I haven't really had a specific build, I've just tried to stay balanced. Every time I try to focus big on DPS, my health drops below 60k which is unbearable. My skill power also got lower than 10k recently (before I got gear and got it up to 15k) which was also terrible. I have a lot of trouble balancing things out.

The 'Shooter' skill on the 4 piece Striker set is near impossible to maintain. The 'Stalker' skill on the 4 piece Sentry set is much easier, and I've seen people boost their DPS to over 700k with it in some instances. Also works better in PvP if you need it to. I'm honestly on the fence if I want to do 4 Sentry/2 Striker, or just do a 3/3 myself.

As for your guns, it's up to you. The Black Market AK was nice, but once I found my first M4 off of the Russian Consulate, I never looked back. The AK just has horrible stability, while I can basically snipe with that thing with a 61 round clip firing at over 1000 rpm. Barely any climb on it.

As for the Vector, it's nice, but I find the reload to be off. It's really up to you, but if you're lucky you can find a MP5 with better stats.
