One of the reasons I deleted my 350 hour character was because of rolls I just got fed up with spending everything I had ( and I had a lot ) 2 million credits/200,000 DZ credits 300 Phoenix credits, 500 yellow crafting mats Plus 300 Div tech.
I rolled 9 Liberators/15 HE vectors and 12 HE navy MP5's on top of trying to recalibrate my armour etc etc etc and I ended up with literally 0nly 10,000 more DPS from when I started re-rolling 200 more health and 5,000 odd more skill power and my weapons were almost identical to what I had anyway. I couldn't get one good roll. so I gave up I wasn't going to start hunting more mats all over again.

After my daily routine w/1 extraction from the DZ I can maybe squeeze out 1 item for crafting that involves something w/gun parts or electronics. Tools & fabric I have for days...which really only translates to, I can probably make 3 items w/all the tools and fabric I have.
I no life the hell out of this game and I at most can make 4 items a day that require div tech and that's with me getting a minimum of 2 supply drops per run.
The crafting in this game is why so many are leaving. I myself didn't play yesterday and today I'm struggling to want to bother to log in. This weekend will most likely be completely skipped. Maybe just wait until the next major update.
A simple fix for me would be to have a high initial roll material cost. Then be able to reroll (tinker the weapon) with cheaper re roll costs, after all we don't want to build an entirely new weapon we just want to adjust it here or there, which would make sense from an RP perspective.
The problem with this would of coarse be that in no time at all everyone would have perfect weapons. Which is exactly the opposite of what they want. They want it to take weeks to get a roll you are totally happy with,
