First time I checked the forums in two weeks! Haven't played one minute since the day after the incursion update! Hoping there has been some positive change to the game, but sadly there hasn't been any! There are two things I know for sure! The first being, this game won't be descent for another year, by then it will have a very small player base! Not a single person on my friends list on Xbox plays this anymore! They have moved back to other games they own, because of the problems! (Not stating any, everyone with half a brain sees them) Second, Ubisoft and massive are on the release day boycott list from now on! Not saying I won't buy a game made or published by either in the future, though it will never ever be at release and will have to be a very long time from that point! (A year after should suffice), though I hardly ever purchase games once they are past their prime. As games go, I put this right up there with anarchy online lol.
But hey, keep supporting companies like this, keep buying and playing unfinished and broken games, keep telling these companies "it's ok! I love to pay you to beta test your game", and for the love of God, please don't stop and think about what your mindless actions do and the consequences that follow!
At the rate the idiot generation of gamers is heading, soon companies will deliver just your avatar, a building, and a flat landscape with promises to deliver the game world, enemies, and actual gameplay in a future update! While charging you full price for the game!
Ps. If ya don't know the only advantage a console has ever had over PCs is the games come complete, playable, and hacker free! If you bought this for the console, you should send the message to these companies that the console gamer will not stand for incomplete and broken games! Boycott all companies that do this! If we don't, console gamers are in a world of trouble in the future! If ya stop buying the products, they will start making better ones!
yeah............no
PC has way more problems than the consoles. Consoles main problems are incursion glitchers and a few dark zone glitches. Not really any straight up hacks.
Worst I run into is some manhunt rogues hiding in the wall but that has happened like 3-4 times. PC people have to seemingly del with maxed rof weapons and teleportation etc
Agreed, console problems can be resolved by patching the glitches; whereas, PC problems are due to the architecture of the underline code. I'd rather be a console player.Originally Posted by UNSCxSniper Go to original post
Lol....if people are reporting of hacks on console,Originally Posted by UNSCxSniper Go to original post
Thats how it started on PC...a handful here, a handful there...then spreads like a disease
There's 1 major difference......if you're caught using 3rd party software in order to hack on console the MAC address gets a perma ban. Pretty much that 400 dollar console becomes a paper weight.Originally Posted by BroHamBone Go to original post
The risk associated with hacking on console makes it not worth it. You have to buy a new console and all the digital content you purchased on your xbox live account is gone.
Looks complete to me. I have finished all missions, except for Incursion.Originally Posted by somtinhelse Go to original post
I have played 247 hours and haven't had any blocking experience. The game is fully playable. Yes, there are bugs and exploitable glitches, but seriously, is not the end of the world.
Hackers - Where? I haven't seen any.
The only message I sent to the company is that I loved it and I feel their product provides me a lot of fun and is worth the money invested. Already got the season pass too.![]()
Plenty of people on my friends list still play it frequently. As I have been since the Beta.
It's a great game. "Bugs and glitches"? I've seen a few on X1, they are all easily accounted for.
. DZ too hard - gear up
. But the cheaters - avoid them, you have a run button and a speed buff available.
. Incursion sucks - Play the other missions while you wait for DLC that might be better suited to YOU. Or cry so hard that other types can't have anything they might like.
. Hackors!!! - Tell me more about PC being the master race.
. Hackors on console - Every time one of these threads is started I go check for the issue, but amazingly they hardly exist for me at all. Ok, I admit I've been killed at a checkpoint a couple times, had a tough time beating a Manhunt group on that ledge, been melted when I didn't want to be, and so on. But it's never ever been even remotely close to the exaggerated levels some of you disappointed fans claim. I can only surmise that you are clinically depressed, ungrateful, have unrealistic expectations, are willfully ignorant or just truly truly suck at this game.
I'm sure it could be something else but it sure isn't from being an honest and sensible consumer with a good understanding of gaming program stability and the general state of the gaming industry in the modern era.
How's NASA doing? Living up to your expectations?
TLDR:
Expect (demand...lols) perfection and be the author of your own disappointment.
The problem with the whole buy now we will fix later issue boils down to the demands put on games now days are much harsher then they were back when we first started gaming. Development cost have skyrocketed due to gamer demands.Originally Posted by somtinhelse Go to original post
Ok think of this back when I started gaming development teams could pop out a game in 6 months, moving pixel art if you were lucky. Now compare that to today's gamer. If it's not running in 1080 at 60 fps gamers lose their **** and moan about it. How do you think a game like golden eye would compare to modern games....it would be a laughing stock of the games industry. But back then it was a great experience. Games that you could beat in 6hrs where considered successes. Today's gamer gets a game that last 6hrs they run to a forum and start moaning about it.
Companies today have the cards stacked against them. If your game doesn't sell millions of copies, development studios lose money. They had to do something. Gamers today demand dlc as part of their gaming experience now. If there isn't a few dlc planed for a game gamers will more often then not pass a game by. "What this isn't gonna keep me busy for the next 6 months what a waste of a game. But then they also have the attention span of gnats. Demand developers to give them so much for the same 60$ price tag. Yet they don't understand that these demands, their expectations and what they consider a great game. Would bankrupt the industry.
Ok say a developer has 100 employees, takes them 3 years to deliver a game. 100x12x (salary of employees) takes investors to make it through that part. Game comes out sell millions of copies first thing you do is pay off your investors. Then bonuses for sales to employees. Hoping you have enough left to keep the company afloat until you can produce another title.
Now factor in ballooning budgets due to gamer demands, companies demanding a bigger cut aka ms, sony etc etc. You have to do something to keep some form of cash flow coming. Aka dlc. Often gamers view dlc as something that was cut and repackaged later as dlc aka a scam. What they don't realize is that more often then not these were cut because they couldn't be finished in time for release. Then packaged into dlc when it gets done. What was planed for a game and what gets delivered on launch day are always different depending on the difficulties they run into during development. Certain things hit the cutting room floor, so high priority items can be finished in time.
The way the games industry is right now is a result of gamer demands and companies desire to make a profit and stay in business. You have no one to blame but yourselves. You demand so much while trying to pay so little. Either learn to expect less then stellar or start expecting to pay more the 60$ for a title.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if next gen we don't see a price hike on games as a result. Gamers will be expecting 4k quality while trying to continue to pay ps2 prices. Something has to give or this industry will crumble.
