Reality Check - You <3 The Division

I'm probably going to cop alot of flak for this post but its cool..

Day after day, thread after thread, there is nothing but hate in this place, some of it within reason, for sure, but the majority of it is just overhyped rage at small moments that are blown way out of proportion..

The bottom line is, this is a fun game, it is an addictive game, there's not many loot based modern military style RPGs out there, and yeah this game could definitely have been better, but guess what? You wouldn't come on here and complain so much if you didn't love playing the game, if you really did hate the game like alot of you protest, you wouldnt even bother coming on here to vent.

This summarises 90% of the hate threads on here: "This game is full of game breaking bugs!!!!! These bugs make this game unplayable!!!! This game was unplayable all 8 hours I spent playing it yesterday, and will be unplayable all 8 hours I will spend playing it today!!!"

Case in point, you love the game.

Now I'm not saying it's without its problems, they are pretty well documented, and I think the people suffering from the hacking on PC genuinely have good reason to be pretty angry, but as a console player, I have found my experience to be overall nothing like the disaster threads I read on here.

I worry that many new players may be scared off buying the game after reading some of the stuff I see on here, so let me add my my experiences to the mix from my 7 days play time so far:

    * I've not once, in 7 days play time, fallen through the map.

    * I've not once been kicked out of a group before collecting my rewards from a mission.

    * I've been killed by rogues, but I am DZ rank 81 and have never felt like I needed to leave a server due to being "bullied".

    * I've gotten good loot from random boss drops, including a 214 set piece in the DZ, they ARE out there.

    * I didn't glitch the incursion, but I couldn't care less who has what 240 rated gear, it doesn't affect me at all, rogues are easy to avoid and it will all be irrelevant soon enough when newer gear comes out anyway.

Yeah it may be a bit of a pointless thread, but I'm posting this in the hopes that somebody that may have been turned away from this game gives it a second thought, because this forum would lead you to believe that this game is too broken to play and is nothing but hell on earth, but that is simply not true.

This game is FUN and addictive! And I'm sure 90% of the haters on this forum still play it for hours every day.

I enjoyed the initial experience and had expectations that I'd be playing this game for awhile.

    • 70% of the map they built is irrelevant now.
    • Bugs
    • Too hard to gear in a legit manner
    • Tedious crafting
    • Uninspired end game content
    • Lack of info from developers

I have faith they'll hire someone in to fix the problems. It's happened before in other triple A titles, and I believe it'll be worth it.

The core game is good its so good that aynone cant deny it but the problem is ubisoft related things such as punishment players instead of fixing exploits or identifying the hackers. That game has no-end raid or dungeon pvp or warzones dont tell me incursion or dz bla bla bla cuz incursion like fcking 3D metal slug. İf u get fun keep going i cant blame ya'll.

They asking for a change because honestly the game is fun and addicting but to some it has hacks on pc and exploits and bugs glitches all over thats what is written here daily it ruins the fun for them

The game has potential even though its completely lacking endgame,,,Complaining on hackers is justified.

    • 70% of the map they built is irrelevant now: somehow true PVE is too much empty.
    • Bugs: 100%agree
    • Too hard to gear in a legit manner/ wrong as fvck, you can gear up pretty well with a good team. we did, not even tryed any glitch once. It take time but it's the purpose of this game. It can be most of the time frustrating, but it's not impossible.
    • Tedious crafting: sure but would you enjoy having everything on first try. I can't tell. but for my groupe not at all.
    • Uninspired end game content: Maybe because too much people exploited, spoiled themselves hundreds hours of entertainment. on our side, we just achieved our full first char gear and started to have pretty decent alt char
    • Lack of info from developers: true and false. I worked a lot with GM - CM on other games. Trust me you cannot and you should not tell everything.
Too many time people remains deaf regarding what is told by CMs. Either because they want everything now, included answers, or simply because the answer isn't what they want to hear.

Simple exemple. about hacker. Yes it svck, yes more effort should be put on that. But CMs are not blind, they know this is an issue, they told this is a priority to get fixed. they told things will be done.
Yes there are still hackers, yes 3 days ban isn't what we are expecting as punishment, but they told us what was done and what is planned.
Now what do you want more? more precise infos? Don't expect it, It's too much sensitive to be revealed to community. Simply because it would be like putting themselve a bullet in the head.
Repeating the same thing? what would be the point. thoses who didn't want to listen the first time won't listen an other time, others will complain because the answer is not what they want to hear, lasts will simply start an other dozen of usless thread about how hack is an issue and CM are ****.

Yes not everything is good, yes there are broken things, there are ****y things. But after chilling about all of it what do i see now?
Youtubers that don't like the game for what it is, a loot based RPG, that will explain theire viewers why this game svck. simply because they bourght the wrong game.
Exactly same statment for some player that keep posting here it's too hard to gear up, it svck because you can't have everything on first attempt, because you have to put some effort to get somthing good, because loots are luck based, because (exploiter issue excluded) there is a disparity because of gear.

Well if you want a game where everything can be obtained on first attempt, you'll obtain a game with absolutely no diversity, everybody will get brutal, deadly, 200K DPS, 90K HP, using pulse & heal, taking down opponent in 3 bullets, you'll have no tanks, no healers... you'll have... AN FPS GAME.
This is what you need to realize, having everything the most easy way possible will remove hours of farming, which is actually the game core, everybody will use exactly same things....

So yes there are things to fix, bugs , exploits, hacks, broken mechanics, rebalance to get back on the game that was sold to people, a loot focused RPG that require diversity in a team.

But no, not everything must be changed, because what too many are asking for is simply changing this game for an other only keeping graphism engine. If you want an FPS with some peaks, bad compagny series is the way to go.

Absolutely. I won't stop playing; they have all the money they're gonna get for a while, and I'm not gonna deny myself what fun I do get from the game to make a statement of some sort.

My playtime is dropping. That's for sure. But it hasn't stopped. If I played on the PC, I might feel differently, since the hacks are much worse. But sure, I love the Division. It has a lot of good and a lot of potential. It needs a lot of fixing. But that's well beyond my skills, so all I can do is wait and see.

I am glad I didn't come to this forum before buying the game, because I would probably miss the most addictive game I ever played. I get bored easily, so I think a lot before deciding which games to buy. I like more FPS style games, so I was afraid the part about collecting stuff would be boring. However, this is a super fun game and very addictive. I love it. I play it whenever I can, daily.

    * I've not once, in 247 hours of play time, fallen through the map. That been said, I have been shot by an invisible NPC once, but I managed to killed it.

    * I've not once been kicked out of a group before collecting my rewards from a mission. I have been playing solo and with some really nice random people I meet on the DZ.

    * I've been killed by rogues, but to be honest, that is part of the thrill. Wondering if you will escape the rogues and extract your loot is way more exciting.

    * I've gotten good loot from random boss drops as well. Got a Nomad gear today.

    * I didn't glitch the incursion either. I haven't passed it yet, but will try again once I have better gear and stats. Currently, I have DZ 51 and 187 gear score. it will take time, but I will reach DZ 99 one day, playing fair.
