As a former player of Destiny (2000+ hours) I left because of the PvP crap in the game. Now I played Destiny on the PS3 platform, me and my kid almost everyday for a couple hours at the least. The cheating was running rampant in there. So, with high hopes, I went and purchased two PS4's and the new accessories and two copies of the Diision. Game started out great, we had no complaints, partly becasue it was something new to us. It made you think a little, no running in and just shooting stuff. Then the Incursion came out. We gave it a go round, but when 4 guys need 18 clips to kill a single AI, we said the hell with it, there still was plenty to do beside the Incursion for us and after all the was the DARK ZONE! Yeah, the DZ... it was fun for about 10 minutes. As time has gone on here I have gotten better equipment than the couple guys I have played with. So I am stuck going in solo in the DZ. Last night was the "straw that broke the camels back" for me. I figured I would go do the Daily. Walk thru the door into the DZ only to have 6 rouges camping outside the door killing guys as they walk in. I'm 174 GS. These guys are higher GS than me and of couser I don't stand a chance. So I fast travel to another entrance, exact same thing. Guys camping outside doors. There is no reason for this other than they are little punks who get off on being, to put it kindly, a**holes.
I'm not a game designer by any means, but why is the DZ split into just two "ranks" if you want to call it that? I understand, you need to tackel hard encounters to get better, but why not in let say 20 points GS? 100-120, 120-140, 140-160 and so on?
I had high hopes for this game and sadly with it only being out a couple months now. For me I see it as a downward spiral, faster than what Destiny was. Ubisoft needs to think here. Quite a few players came from Destiny, being disgusted with it, hoping that others have learned from Bungies mistakes. They really need to take a good hard look at the PvP part of this game. I'll fight a evenly matched battle all day long against other players. I won't bother playing a PvP game where the norm is a group of high level guys just go thru and rape everyone they come across that is 10 GS point below them. Bungie even set up their PvP for guys going in solo. Do the same Ubi. You want to go rouge, go rouge as a solo and fight, afterall, you went rouge becasue you are better than the other guys. Fight one on one. You want to go fight as a team, have a team DZ.
I still have a little hope for this game, but it is fading quickly. Which is sad considering Ubi had a chance to take so much of Destiny's player base.
Well with a reported take of $330m in sales in its first five days I'm beginning to think that Ubisoft really don't give a monkey's backside about all the hacking cheating and missions not working on the PC version at least, They have got our money thank you very much you silly customers we'll just completely ignore your concerns now we've got what we wanted.
Personally I'm going to give them some time to see if they fix stuff, If they don't make massive changes for the better they'll never see another penny of my money
I agree 100%, it is just sad that they have our money already and we are stuck dealing with what we got. I haven't 100% gave up on them, but it is tough for me and many many other I'm sure to have faith they will fix things. I try my best to serpate Division from Destiny, afterall they are two completely different game, but have allot of similarstuff to them, both the game and the company making them.
As i read somewhere Ubisoft/Massive has been thinking of making The Division a franchise, so new games for years to come. So i don't think they are thinking they've made enough money and that's it. I really think they are very concerned about the franchise they wanted to 'build' around The Division. And i do think they will come up with a plan to save the game and thus the franchise, at least for consoles.
For as it looks now, the PC version is broken and needs an overhaul/rewrite. My guess is they will drop the PC-version in near future because of the impossibility to repair it and give their attention fully to the consoles.
If they dropped the PC version they would be overwhelmed with people demanding their money backOriginally Posted by Benneauman Go to original post
Finding out that Massive made a MMO/FPS a full client side game is a ****ing joke. When you can hack/cheat a FPS online game with just using cheat engine. Then the devs are morons period. You cant even us CE to hack/cheat in any of the top notch FPS/MMO games and for then to trust the client. Only way for them for fix the game is to completely rewrite the script and remove the client and move it to server side. Until then cheaters/hackers/exploiters/glitchers whatever you wish to call them will make Ubisoft their ***** over this game. FYI never trust Ubisoft.
I think they will fix about 80% of the stuff going on by the time June comes. This is when the paid DLC is set to launch so I'm sure they want customers happy by then. I'm hoping they delay the next update a bit and fix everything going on currently before they bring something new in. I love this game and I play about 3-4 hours daily and most times I'll have fun but recently its been getting boring. I feel like all I can do in the game anymore is go to the DZ find rouges to kill, or go rouge....besides that the missions are boring, its impossible to get better drops anywhere, incursion is boring, ect..
