🛈 Announcement
Greetings! The Division forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

How Massive handles this next update will determine if this game lives or dies

It's already apparent the game is dying, devs have a lot to fix in a little amount of time

I haven't played in a week and don't really miss the game at all. Challenges are useless and after beating each dozens of times the luster is over. Drops suck across the board, incursions are boring. Dark zone currency takes too long to gain, crafting nerfs making crafting too much of a grind

Just plain terrible design decisions across the board. I definitely won't be buying the season pass unless they pull off a miracle. Game has some potential but we'll see and at this point a large percentage of the player base isn't happy with the game in its current state

Yeah, the last update said a lot about whoever's making decisions.

    "Go to the dark zone."

"If the dark zone isn't fun for you, then go to the dark zone. It'll grow on you"

"Light zone is boring? Repeating missions is boring? Incursion is boring? I know, go to the dark zone."

I liked the campaign and feel like I got my money's worth, but the end game is just sad. Bland. Someone really needs to take off his dark zone blinders, because the more people you have in the dz, the less fun and rewarding it becomes. The dz just isn't that large. It's painfully obvious that someone thought/thinks dz is all that's needed. Maybe it even is for some people.

But for me. I'm gonna need more if I'm going to be coaxed back to the division.

Hey, I enjoy the game, and that's all that matters.

There is so much effort to push the DZ, it's almost insulting to the PVE players.

    1. DZ out of map XP farm from day 1 still active
    2. DZ teleporting still active
    3. DZ safe house wall glitch still active

    B U T . . . . .

    1. Challenge mode drpping4 yellows? Hot fix same day.
    2. Flacon Lost glitch (many)? hot fix every week
    3. Police Academy door glitch? hot fixed many times.

Banning people for glitching Incursions, but can't seem punish DZ cheaters?

    A++++ job Ubi

Game subs will be dead before next full DLC is released, and that sucks because it could be such a great game.

    Honestly screw the next update.

What will decide the games future is the dev team / ubisoft.

If they make a real and dedicated effort to communicate with the player base and layout a real road map of there plans and actually address all the problems with regular updates to the community as well as in game.. I wouldn't care if the next update was a load of crap

they could learn a lot from squaresoft here with final fantasy 14s history. complete hash of a game and the single biggest thing that turned it around was the amount of communication between players and the developers... and that level of communication with the players is largely still there years later... it makes a big difference.

no fob offs no crap just real solid information and plans and most importantly honesty... if it takes them 6 months to fix the game the divison so what. as long as players are kept in the loop and up to date regularly they will have more faith and even more patience than they have with the current silence and massive lack of developer response regarding the state of the game.

the game is in a real bad way and the most recent state of the game post did nothing to reassure players all it did was make jokes at all the glitches and bullet king exploits and attempt to cover up players real issues....

content wise i'd rather not see any new content until they've fixed things. as currently you know they'll add that 220 incursion and it'll be just as broke as the rest of the game is. so don't even bother adding it until you get the game working properly

Maybe they should just do what DICE did to save BF4 .... Hire a new Team of Devs that actually knows how to do stuff.

BF4 started super bad and became super good once they got rid of the old Dev team.

The state of the Game streams are a joke. Every State of the game starts with about 1/2 of the time Hamish and someone else talking about old stuff or introducing themselves over and over again, saying how much they appreciate the help of the community and how they read the Forums and all that stuff. Or it's just "We have something nice coming up but we can't talk about it yet" . I think I didn't got any good informantion about the real State of the Game once in this stream yet.

Most useful informations are coming by accident from Live Streams when some reddit guy grabs an information from any of the Devs playing.

Game needs a few changes, and here's hoping the next incursion is more fun. I'm of with the rest of the game TBH. Oh yeah, they need to fix the many exploits, true that, but that's not really a 1.2 thing, it's more of a continuous concern they need to act upon.
