Lol they don't ,, they just die!
One thing he could had done was report him using the same process that you continually tell us to do. True, he wrote it down, but this was a great opportunity for Massive to demonstrate a working system. As it stands, we saw inaction and complacency, which is exactly how the community feels about Massive's approach to hackers.
Fairly certain everyone expected him to do what you told us to do: /report nameOriginally Posted by Natchai_Ubisoft Go to original post
Or... does that not work?
I luckily report everything double with videos. I have no idea if anyone is actually getting banned but seeing as in a 6 hour DZ sitting I run into roundabout 6 (forcing me to switch instances)
I report all of them with shadowplay footage and detailed information on the events that transpired and usually I will be able to kill them atleast once.. The only ones that prove difficult are the ones that have gone "berserk"(this is what happens when they try to hide being a cheater, but then run into me, I have their teleporting recorded, I kill them, I stand over their corpse and whisper "you're recorded buddy". At this point they go on a rampage making collecting footage even easier. This does make me logout and back in to find a new DZ though, as its no fun to actually play against berserk cheaters. Oh and it makes more people use /report name)
Which is why I ask again, does this feature actually work?
He should report him. This hacker was pretty bad at hacking, in most cases he would not even see his nickname.Originally Posted by Natchai_Ubisoft Go to original post

Please dont give me the whole "well hamish was already in massive studio and it would of been quicker to write it down", no it wouldnt have, using the /report feature would of been quicker.Originally Posted by Natchai_Ubisoft Go to original post
You should already know the approriate actions to this situation. Instead hamish showed god knows how many people watching the stream that he has little faith in the /report feature.
Also is that really the right attuide to have with consumers who have bought a hacker riddled and bug riddled video game from the same company you happen to work for? No? Didn't think so.
Login into player account management tool, search for player, kick him from server, ban him for 3 - 5 million days?Originally Posted by Natchai_Ubisoft Go to original post
Ok, thanks for informing me on what you all think he should've done, which is using the /report feature.
I understand that sentiment, and it's something he could've done yes.
However, it appears that he scribbled down something, most likely the time, so he could re-watch and take more time to investigate this case through internal procedures.
