Just now, I fired up Trials Frontier, and a pop-up in the game was present, telling me to download a game, to get a Shark Outfit.

Anyone else got this pop-up message, or downloaded the said game?

I admit I didnt, because it sounded fishy for some reason.

A while back when they made an update, i think after the KTM event, and it accidentally went live offering the shark outfit through a pop-up. The game should be Shark Evoloution and its a a good game to play whilst your waiting to fuel up.
Maybe it's leaked again, just before the Ultimate Season in the Bunker has finished.

If I download it via the App Store, and not tapping on the pop-up, will it count? Because I can't make the game to show the pop-up again.

I think it's been officially released now.

I got the popup. Downloaded the shark game, went back to trials and I have no outfit and no popup to re-download.

Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix? Jollycharly?

I just downloaded the shark game via the pop-up and played it some. But nothing happened, no new outfit for me...

I downloaded it throug the popup, played for few mins, then resturned to Trials. I got new popup, that said "Get the Outfit" tapped it and it was in my outfitcollection.

I had typed out a reply to the same effect at the same time as you and accidentally deleted it But cheers for backing up the way I did it because it was a while ago.

I've tried syncing with the server in the hope that brings the popup back but no such luck yet.

there is indeed a cross promotion for Hungry Shark Evolution, released today. So nothing sharky, hum, fishy here!

I didn't hear of this problem... yet ^^
did you try to clear the cache and restart the game?
Otherwise, I would suggest contacting the support (via the website, there are some issues lately with the ingame help thingy).
