    Recent DPS issue

There is lots in the forums about DPS issues but the last few days I and my friends have had a new problem.
Ever since the update my DPS changes randomly not when I do anything other than progress through a mission.
For example My DPS for my gold M1A is ~158k on getting into an elevator (lift) then getting out it is 98k. This can also happen during a fight which is problematic as you can imagine.
The DPS on my other guns seems to change too.
If I go into my equipment select a new primary or secondary it stays low but then if I reselect the original gun it jumps back up to ~158k and my other guns also increase back to there correct (I assume) DPS.
Is this a problem with a attempted patch for the DPS glitch that I keep being told about? Or is that glitch somehow effecting the rest of the people on the server.

Please, please, please fix this it makes the more difficult content almost impossible at times.

Its not playing right at the moment!!!!

The DPS display would appear to swap weapon mods whenever a different weapon is highlighted and selected, leading to such issues. The simplest solution is not to believe the DPS display, as the calculations behind it aren't really well researched.

Unfortunately the DPS is noticeably correct. You enter a zone (area of combat) and yellow enemies require large numbers of bullets and reloads to kill them, damage dealt is lower. Then I step around the corner check DPS in inventory and its low deselect the gun then reselect it and DPS rises. start shooting enemies again damage has increased and they die much quicker.

ITS NOT A PROBLEM WITH DISPLAYED DAMAGE PER SECOND (DDPS) it is real issue and noticeably effects game play.
