Most of the time I don't have problems with people. Well, not anymore now that I have a halfway decent DZ rank and gear score is alright thanks to the update. It may be overstating the obvious. The collective experience to me is getting left behind. On PC, the vast majority of players I come across are extremely Firearms heavy. 2,300+ in Firearms and you can mow down most Gold NPCs and other players with ease by using an SMG.
While I'm wandering around, I find landmarks and Boss zones swiped clean in seconds. I started working in a landmark that had 12 Gold NPCs in a pulse. By the time I pulsed a 2nd time, the place was wiped and the Division Tech, and DZ key box were wiped by 2 players in the building.
When Supply drops arrive, the person who scrambles to the drop, pops the box "wins". I ran to a supply drop to see another player fatally scrambling with a handful of Gold NPCs and two Bosses. I start up with the crowd and another player runs up, grabs the downed player loot and runs away while I'm dealing with the NPCs.
Why does Massive allow cheap, Firearms heavy players ruin the experience so easily? They come in a blow away 8 to 12 Gold NPCs in seconds, take what they want, and (poof) gone.
Add some of these NPC groups to the solo world, or roll back Firearms or both. Being a Stamina/Tech type of person is so lopsided and weak compared to Firearms.
I heard Massive is working on DZ 2.0 for the future since the current 1.0 is just awful in its current state.
