agree with you but it will take 25-30hrs to unlock just one new operator, there will be 4 operators for me to unlock on may 10th & that means 120hrs of gameplay required, i wish i had that much time to put in the game :-( for people who are stranded with the time they can put with this game cause of other priorities (family, works etc) i think season pass makes sense for them, i know i will get hated for this but i m considering buying it now.Originally Posted by Giga.Wats Go to original post
If anyone honestly hates you or anyone else for buying a season pass, they need to go see a shrink...Originally Posted by insane79 Go to original post
You are without doubt ubisoft fan or just drunk af for talking this BS. They didn't do **** with the season pass nor with the presentation yesterday and I bet the DLC will be the next big disappointment. What do you call great job ... the new weapons, attachments, cosmetics, maps(sorry, map*), client side anti-cheat, hit detection fix or the awesome trailer for the DLC they showed us yesterday?Originally Posted by Morfanos Go to original post
No, I'm not really the biggest fan of Ubisoft, I think they don't wait enough to release new iterations of their games which cause franchise fatigue, the Assassin's Creed series being a prime example of this and I hope not but Far Cry seems to be heading that way too... But I understand why they do it. A majority of their users base has the attention span of a goldfish and needs to be stimulated with new things since they cry foul if a DLC or a new version of a game isn't released in the next few days...Originally Posted by Greit0n Go to original post
What happened to enjoying a game just for what it is? Now people complain a game is boring if they unlock everything. Unlocking stuff shouldn't be the reason why you play a game, having fun for the sake of having fun should be really all that matters.
Anyhow, now that you know I'm not their biggest fan, maybe I can move on to the rest of your reply.
Usually, with almost every big multiplayer games on the market, you have DLC and/or season pass that always end up dividing the community between those who have the base game but not enough money for the DLCs and those who like to spend 120$+ for a single game.
Ubisoft could have easily went that route with their business model and the community would have already been divided between normal user and those who bought the season pass. Now, instead of that, we have an united community(who plays the same game).
So why buy the season pass then? To save time and ironically, money. It takes about 50 hours(assuming 1000 renown/hour) of gameplay for an average player to unlock the operators for a single season. Assuming you make next to the minimum wage, which is a little above 10$ in most area, that's 500$ worth of time.
So for those, like the original poster, who want to enjoy everything but can't find the time to play more than a few hours each weeks, it's a great way for them to unlock it all. Not only that but it give Ubisoft the money needed to make those actual extra maps and operators.
For others, like younger people like students or kids for example, who have often more free time than money, it means that you don't have to spend anything more after the initial price for the game and you still get extra DLCs for one year.
That's exactly what I meant by "great job". Allowing everyone to get the same gameplay, what ever the time or money available.
The bugs and hackers have absolutely not connected to the season pass so I don't even know why you bring that up. Season pass or not, you have those and yes, they need to fix those problem but it's a completely different discussion.
As for their presentation they did yesterday, I again fail to see the connection with the season pass. Do you think marketing is free? I'd rather have them spend more money on making this great game even better than on a amazing but almost useless trailer. What's worst is that you complain about the lack of trailer... but we'll get one, they said it, just not today, in 2 weeks.
One last thing. Why are you so angry at them for the season pass? Is it because you bought it but failed to read the description for what you bought? Because they're doing exactly what they said they would with the season pass... or is it that you didn't buy it and yet still want more free stuff, which ironically, wouldn't happens without the people buying the season pass.
TL;DR: Grow up or learn to do research before buying a product and complaining for getting exactly what you've paid for...

I mean, you've played close to 190 hours of Rainbow 6 Siege. You probably find it entertaining or you wouldn't have spent that much time playing it.
Not at all, mate. I've got a kid too and I totally understand how limited and precious game-time is. Sounds like you made the right decision for you. Of toyed with buying it myself. Enjoy it, whatever you choose to do.Originally Posted by insane79 Go to original post
