The DZ needs more level brackets

Adding the 161 bracket was a step in the right direction. But there needs to be a couple more brackets added for the sake of balance.

Someone coming into the DZ at 161 will get wrecked by players that are closer to or above iLevel 200.

There should be brackets for every 10 iLevels.161-170, 171-180, 181-190, 191-200, 201-210, 211-220, 221-230 This would make the DZ a lot more fun and competitive for everyone.

Some players just want a fighting chance. Adding in more brackets, is the way to make that happen.

    Dz bracket 161+

I was wondering if bracket 161+ is the only gear score bracket. I've played through the pve side and crafted all 182 gear but always end up getting killed in dz by higher scored players. I've tried lowering my score to less than 161+ but still get grouped in 161+ .

Gear score for the dz does not just take into account your equipped gear. It also counts the gear in your inventory towards your gear score total . They made it work that way, because people were trying to lower their GS just enough so that they could hunt players in the lower bracket.

I know you really don't understand but gear score doesn't mean anything .
You could have all 240 gear and be weaker than someone in all 163 gear.

It's all about your stats and the roll on your gear.

These brackets won't work because of that.

They would need to sort it by what matters.

    Damage /mitigation

That's the only way it would ever truly be fair.

Gear score and dz are not a reflection of how strong someone's character is. At all.

It just shows that it is POSSIBLE to be strong . Unless they have gear rolled at the top of the stat spread their gear is no better than common yellows you throw away in the dz.

Lol, what a los, so a GS of 50 has a chance against a GS of 200? As its all about how the stats are picked...

    Just lol, really.

They patched it to include your stash as well. If you're wearing 163 gloves and have a 182 pair in your stash that would put you over 160, then it will put you in the 161+ bracket. However, if you throw all that extra gear on an alt's inventory, then you can go in the 0-160 successfully.

You are correct . It is a higher ceiling.
Scratch that. It is a CHANCE for a higher roll.
It doesn't mean it is higher .
Dividing by gear score won't create balance . The stats over lap too much.

If you really want a fair fight it would need to be based one damage output and mitigation/hp.

Even then most people suck at this game and casuals will still get rolled .

It's nice to blame your deaths all on gear but it just isn't the case.

Look . Ive played this game with thousands of people.

I play with people that have high gear scores all the time. Trust me when I tell you it doesn't make them good.

In fact most people with really high gear scores are terrible . They just cheesed the incursion.

If they can't beat the npc's legit why would you think they could take on another person any better?

The DZ is not supposed to be fair or balanced.

There are supposed to be enemies you cannot beat. You are supposed to use your brain and know when to fight, and when to run away.

There is no shame in hiding, or even shooting first if you believe there is even a slight chance that someone might shoot you in the back.

The DZ is supposed to be a scary place. It is lawless. There is no law, there is no honour. It is every man for himself.

There is only one rule in the DZ: Don't trust anybody.

I've been suggesting this for a while... However it happens, Gear Score, DPS, Stats, total squad score, whatever - there really needs to be a change.
