The possible top-end roll for a 182 exceeds the possible top-end roll for a 163, etc. But its certainly possible for an item with a lower gear score to be functionally superior to an item with a higher gear score. Which becomes a real problem when you have required gear scores for activities and LFG groups refusing players based on that score.
    Agreed, I have to change out my 147 purple Socom M1A with brutal, ferocious, and balanced and even pimped out with all gold mods (headshot bonuses, weapon damage, etc.) and got a new sidearm to replace my level 131 Tactical M1911A, even though those two weapons are the best I've found in their perspective catagories, otherwise people question my gear scores which wasn't that low to begin with (179). And yes, I have a TON of 183 weapons, but nothing beats my Socom M1A with those talents... not even close.

    Proc'ing weapon talents should buff gear score

    Weapon mods should buff gear score
