Everyone's keeping on asking for punishments that, we have to face it, will never come.
Resetting characters, permaban, removing items from inventories....none of this will never happen, mainly because the current state of the game it's mostly due to exploits(which sadly is very different from hacking)and because the % of players who took advantage of them is insanely high and punish them all would kill the game(one would say it's already dead, but still).
Despite making me angry, I understand why such measures are not possible, but still the gap between legit and non legit players is so huge that without addressing it legit players will end up leaving(not all of them, ofc, but quite a few)and the game will be seen as a source of frustration rather than as a very funny and good one, as I believe it was and can still be.
Why then not just focusing on rewarding players who didn't use exploits if you can't punish who did?
Instead of removing bilions of mats from the accounts, why don't you just add, let's say 200 each to those you can check didn't cheat?
Instead of removing thousands of gear sets pieces, why not adding 1 or 2 for free to those who didn't chese FL?
Instead of wiping bilions of bilions of trilions of credits, why don't you just add a few milions to some selected players?
Now, legit players should deal with the fact that without a punishment they will NEVER be able to fill the gap with cheaters, but still a sort of compensation would be welcomed, I guess? Not enough, I can hear it already, but isn't it better than nothing?
The only way to get a proper compensation would be to set the whole game standards at the same level of cheaters' one giving every legit players what they have, but that's just not possible and would kill the(already dead)game again.
So, I'm geninuely asking to all the legit players and to Massive, why don't we all stop focusing on unlikely to happen punishments and try to fill the gap between normal players and cheaters as much as game mechanics and health allow? This way Massive can avoid losing 80% of its playerbase banning all the exploiters and could even prevent some legit players from leaving, myself included.

I'd prefer to play at the rate intended and earn my own items rather than have things handed to me because handouts remove the sense of accomplishment which should be a big part of rewarding gaming. I'd prefer banning, simply because if they're allowed to hang around then it's not the type of community I'd enjoy playing in.
I agree with the title but I admit to not reading the OP.
Basic behavioral science supports avoiding punishing bad behavior and supports an emphasis on rewarding good behavior. Massive could and should build rewards into the appropriate actions. Make it so unacceptable behavior is less rewarding.
Problem solved.
Don't worry, incursion was fixed and glichers will disappear soon.
Toughts of my friend, and actually my too...
If there will be not find new glich i'll just delete this game, i'll don't fu*** up my mind in try to complete incursion(chalenge) as intended and in end of that get piece of **** for deconstruction.
P.S. Devs should decide grind, or random, not both.
