    4 Strikers, 2 Sentry Build

I'm currently running a 4 strikers, and 2 sentry build but for some reason I feel like its worse then my old setup. It's either that or the NPC's have gotten really strong the past few days. I have 230k DPS, 78k HP, 13k skill with 63% armor.

I tried Warren gate with 3 Strikers, 2 Sentry, and my ruthless vest last night in CM and I felt I wasn't killing NPC as quickly as I was before so I changed my setup around. I went into the DZ with 4 strikers and 2 sentry and rouges were ****ting on me with gay zapper turrets(but when I wasnt zapped I was able to take a lot of their health away and they always had to run). So I'm not sure what to do. Before I got the 2 Sentry's I was running 4 Strikers and 2 HE's my vest and backpack and it felt pretty good.

I'm just not sure what to do anymore, I know my weapons are out of date I use 2 SMG combo mp5 GS 184 and AUG GS 163 so maybe I should start by upgrading those, but I'm only level 71 in DZ so I still have to wait. I can go back to my 4 striker 2 HE combo but I prefer not to do that. I'm hoping its not the gear and that they actually made the NPC's more challenging. And don't get me wrong I can still clear out boss locations myself but its just not as easy as it was before.

It's because Strikers has horrible damage scaling unless you can maintain above a 70% accuracy for all hits. Switch out 2 Striker for 2 Sentry and you only need 3 hits to get +45% damage, versus 45 consecutive hits at 100% accuracy.

I'm going to give that a try but the thing is I only have 3 Sentry pieces at the moment. Once I find a 4th I'm going to give it a try and see how it feels. The reason why I choose Striker is for the CHD which is important to me, but its worth trying different gear to see which one fits me. Actually I'll just go buy the Sentry Knee Pad blue print from the base tonight which should give me 4 Sentry's.

The 4 set bonus for the Striker is by far the worst. It's close to impossible to maintain. The major issue isn't hitting something, although moving targets will keep you at +(0-5)%. The issue is latency and hitting dead bodies which aren't really misses, but they count as such. Lets say it takes 10 bullets to kill an enemy and you shoot 15 bullets (they all hit the body) until you see your opponent drop dead. +10*1% (for hitting a live target) - 5*(1)% (for hitting a dead body that still seemed alive) = 0%. That's the main issue! Burst fire is not an option. The only time I have ever gotten close to 100% (or above 10-15% for that matter) was by unloading two magazines on the APC which is just a senseless waste of bullets and time since you'll be back at 0% in no time if you have to shoot moving targets.

The above guys are spot on in what they're saying. I'm currently running 4 piece stalkers with Reckless chest and Savage gloves and while I'm sat at 250k DPS, I'm really missing out on that easy to attain and maintain 45% dmg boost. The most I get to in an average engagement is 5-10% before that stupid 2% reduc on miss kills my stack.

The Stalker set needs a serious rebalance/buff, as does the tacticians set... Either that or the Sentry set needs a nerf. I'll let Massively decide on that.

I have a feeling you think you're stronger than you are.
I ran into this issue as did a lot of my friends.

Yeah we can wreck npc's now but they still do a ton of damage to us .
That extra dps makes you feel like you can just face tank enemy's out in the open and you cant. Go back to playing more causiously and you will notice that the npc's aren't really any more dangerous than they ever were.

Too many expect too much out of their gear.

You all have valid points and I believe the original setting of the 3rd talent of the Striker set (+100% Crit Hit Dmg) was a more balanced value. (Though the 4th talent still would need a tweak)

Of course the ridiculous threads popped up on here freaking out about how the Striker set was OP, before the sets were even released, and they got it nerfed to where it is now.

Striker's needs to be redone as a set bonus for aggressive close range play.

Make it 3-6 stacks that grant 30% damage and 30% damage reduction. Give it a 2-5 second drop off for the entire stack.

100% at 1% per stack is silly and a terrible version of Sentry. Striker's only shines if you have a competent Sentry 4pc in group.

Yeah it just seems these Gear Set items aren't as good as advertised. Looks like Sentry is the only one worth having, but the 2nd bonus on it is useless.
