What's the highest scavenging number you have had, and with what result?

I am using 2 pieces of Nomad gear because of the 100% boast to my scavenging, I have a total of 123% if I remember correctly. What is the highest scavenging number you have gotten, and with what results? I think I am going back to my better talent gold gear and say forget scavenging boast.

As it has already been posted in another thread, scavenging only works to get purples/blues from trash mobs only. The rest of the drops and loot tables are fixed, not affected by that talent.

If this is actually the case, that couldn't possibly be how Massive intended it to work. There is no way they would make scavenging one of the main perks from an end-game armor set (Nomad) if its purpose is to increase the quality of blues/purples.

I personally subscribe the theory that it is bugged when you exceed 100% scavenging and it resets back to zero. Example: 145% scavenging is really 45% scavenging.

I currently have 215% scavenging and I have noticed that all my drops are of lower quality. Most of the Division Tech crates I open only drop greens or blues, I rarely get HE, but when my scavenging was much lower (89%) I would get HE tech in 1 out of every 3 or 4 crates. Now it is like 1 out of every 10.

And all the HE drops I get from named bosses in the DZ are not only of less gear score (I will get like 24 163's out of a full 27 extracted stash), but of all those most are performance mods or armor. Almost never get any weapons to drop.

Something is definitely broken with the scavenging stat and it can't working how the developers intended. It shouldn't be automatic amazing drops, but it is definitely making my drops worse! Ugh.

It is the case. Accept it. Source codes don't lie. Community managers do. ;-)

You may want to check that info you've been spreading again. It has been updated:

^^^^ This. Maximize the ones and tens digit, the hundreds place is dropped (bugged). So 235% is really 35%.

The update on bitbucket still supports the assertion that Scavenging is ****. I can't fathom wanting set gloves or chest at the moment so the only really great set items come through crafting and FL. That means all scavenging really does is get you slightly better garbage from trash mobs.

I have a total of 126% and i have to say 99.9999% of the drops are garbage , not even good enough to dismantle , havent seen a purple item in days and the gold items i get are the ones that scavenging has no influence on.

Going try tonight to reduce the scavenging under 100% and see if it gets better.

I don't get that from reading this:

    README

Update: Apparently some idiot at /tcdg/ and Ubi forum found my dump and making useless assumptions like this one, I'm clearing this out
An item is dropped, then quality is rolled for. Scavenging will increase the chance that this roll ends up at a higher quality (by quality I mean colour: superior, high-end etc). The math will apply to all items that have an inherent quality which means crafting materials too.

So scavenging does not effect the item type but it does, in fact, effect the quality.
