after reading all these posts in this forum,Im really curious as to how many ole school legitimate players are really left.If you go on youtube just for curiousities sake,it seems like the trends with TODAYS generation is to see how quickly you can not only break a game, but to brag about it,and ask for thumbs up HERO COOKIES.LOL is todays generation really that LAME,is this what they really strive for! The games today are just so awesomely cool,so why would you want to break them.People that dont think glitches break games lol I'll give you a perfect example of how 1 glitch completely RUINED an awesome game.MASS EFFECT 3,and the missle glitch, the game was so so awesome, and the devs at EA tried to fix this 1 glitch and it messed up the entire balance of the game, the reason glitchers used this glitch was because they were to lazy to learn how to play the game properly, they jumped right into multi player wthout playing the story so therefore they didnt learn all the different combinations that could be used.If they played this story it was clearly explained basically step by step. But todays gen want everything handed to them right from the start and just mow everything down without taking the time to truely enjoy the game.ANDROMEDA is going to be coming out,and you watch how quick these lazy pos ruin it.But back to my main question,How many true ole schoolers are out there that just play the game the way its intended without all the LAME bs of CHEATING(EXPLOITS)
Up-Up-Down-Down-Left-Right-Left-Right, B, A, SELECT, Start.
I've been around long enough to remember that. Granted, this was implemented by the developers at the time, so I guess you could argue it was the way the game was 'intended' to be played. But lets be honest, it was a cheat code, and it become part of mainstream gaming culture for a reason. Acting like cheating or exploiting in video games is a new phenomenon is rich though. Now GET OFF MY LAWN!
If you can´t tell the difference between Single vs Multiplayer cheating then I wonder where your compass has gone..Originally Posted by L0BANE Go to original post
I was just talking to a friend about this. I just don't get it. I've really enjoyed gaming since I was young. Playing on atari a little but really getting into things when the nintendo first came out. Games have evolved and developed so much. They are so much more detailed and in depth than before and there is a lot of fun to be had. Why even consider or try to glitch and break things? If this game is too boring or too difficult or whatever reason someone may have... there are other games out there to go play. Why try to ruin this one? I don't know..
But to answer your question, yes there are but it appears that a lot of people, maybe even most, don't want to play games as intended anymore.
I didn't argue that cheating in multiplayer games is morally right or wrong. I was simply pointing out the flaw in the argument that this is somehow a new phenomenon. cheating has been around for ever. Multiplayer games have not. If they were as common 30 years ago as they are now, I sincerely doubt they would be immune to cheating, which has ALWAYS been part of gaming culture, right or wrong. This whole 'our generation was above this' is hogwash, as it almost always is.Originally Posted by GasT-BAS Go to original post

Ha, only need to hit select in that sequence if you're playing with 2 people. That was a great time in games. I had a guy with the game tag ole skool (?) trying to get me to go rogue today wen I was tryng to leave the dz. I finally yelled a him to just shoot me, I need to go to work, and I cant get out of the dz if you keep shooting me.Originally Posted by L0BANE Go to original post
My first game was Pong. The one that was released in 1975.
It was this box thing with wires.
Some of the wires when to the back of your tv.
The others went to 2 controllers.
You had to set your TV to channel 2 or 3 in order to play, depending on whether or not there was a local Channel 3 in your area.
You don't seem very old school with a wall of text, no punctuation and no point to your post at all.Originally Posted by FRANTICWRATH Go to original post
