Do you still go after Supply Drop in the Dark Zone?

I've noticed recently that I seem to be the only one still falling for this scam.

If they're near by I go for the boss, the other day I seemed to confuse 4 players by killing said boss and leaving the box.

It isn't much of a scam.

Items in the Supply Drop are not contaminated, which means you can either use them, or deconstruct them immediately. While the items themselves are only purple quality, they are still level 30 items and usable. Either as a replacement item for lower leveled players, or as crafting materials for higher level players.

Supply Drops contain Division Tech. So far, all of the ones I have claimed have had at least 1 gold Division Tech.

Each Supply Drop is guarded by a named Elite, along with additional Elite NPC's. This means that the named Elite is guaranteed to drop a gold item and Phoenix Credits. They also count towards the dailies that require you to kill a Named Elite.

If a supply drop is near to where I am in the DZ, I will head there for the Named Elite kill. If I happen to be the only one around to collect the drop itself, I consider that a bonus.

However, I do not go out of my way to track them down and try to collect them. The drop must be within 1-2 streets of where I am at the time, otherwise I don't bother to try to get them.

15 phoenix credits is 15 phoenix credits. I'll take that any day. I'll only risk certain areas solo for them though.

I got a pretty cool weapon skin from one yesterday called Woodflare. I mostly go just for the cosmetic items and easy pc.

If I am close enough I do go after the box. If not, its maybe safer to extract during that time

Well, I have gone after so many of the Supply Drops that I have max Phoenix Credits and I have always had a **** tonne of mats and DZ Keys(legit farming). What I have never gotten in my 30+ hours in the DZ since the Incursion update is a Nomad Gear drop.
