I'd have to give a HUGE KUDOS to the art team. The game looks...incredible. Great voice acting. Great cinematic scenes. The graphics are top notch. The fluid animations are great. However, what it comes down to though, the gameplay itself is just, well, the nicest thing I can say is they just don't have the experience to properly work a loot game, and they certainly don't have the experience on how to handle a multiplayer environment. They are also used to glitches and exploits being "okay" due to most of their games being singleplayer. In multiplayer, you absolutely must nip those issues in the bud or it turns into a nightmare.

All in all, I'd say the Division is a grand project that was worth the attempt, but unfortunately ultimately has failed due to a lack of experience for those developing the game and\or calling the shots for a multiplayer title. It's possible that it can be recovered and improve over time, but it's going to be a lot of work. So many things need to be re-designed from the ground up. The fact that just about everything is client side, and the fact that whoever is in charge absolutely needs to change their mindset on handling exploits is something that shows a long hard road to go down.
Definitely agree on the look, feel, atmosphere of the game, and the basic combat mechanics, that is all top notch.

It's been interesting watching the overall tone of this forum over the weeks. Initially, a post like this would have been flamed to hell and back by people wanting to love the game but not wanting to see the glaring flaws. To their defense, they were also thinking/hoping the flaws would be addressed promptly and the doomsday posts would have no merit.

A month later, the flaws are still here and there's a new glitch or bug every few days it seems. The forum users who used to defend the game have started to see the truth and it's evident in this thread and a lot of others like it, where the majority of the posts are in support of the OP's negative opinion about the game in its current state. Very few posts are of the "bye felicia" state of mind. The few that are, just seem to be angry trolls and aren't taken too seriously.

I hope the game can recover. I really like the idea they sold me on...a modern themed rpg with optional pvp. Instead, what we got was an incomplete action game with some rpg elements and force-fed pvp.

In all honesty, they really just need to go back to the drawing board and redo a lot of things like having more data server side and not treating pve'ers like second class gamers. Do what SquareEnix did with FFXIV and admit they put out a beautiful piece of garbage that needed more work.

    Only time will tell.

I couldn't agree more well said I still play and at some point hoping things will get better I strictly play in the lightzone area it's the only good part of this entire game(just wish there was more in it to do)
I hope atleast one of the DLC's utilize the map outside of the DZ for P v E content. if not then i'll move on

Agree absolutely brilliant atmosphere and overall basic combat mechanics.

Experience a bit latency from the Keyboard from time to time and I have seen others with that issue to.

Cover can be a bit to "sticky" but don´t use it to much in PVP so not to much of a issue.

Could have been one of the best in ages, can still be but then I think they need to shutdown and do a new Beta phase cause they are going to need to change a lot to make it work.

Ubisoft reading these forums as they laugh their way to the bank. Its about the big payday for them folks--lots of dollars....greenbacks....moola....geech....cha-ching. Player complaints after the sales numbers come in, mean nothing to them. We live in the age of greed....and incompetence, so get used to it.Yes, I'm done with this game too and am looking forward to a game made by the real pros at Naughty Dog.

Heard all the same crap bashing the game when Battlefield 4 came out. It's still going strong and it still has bugs.
