Yesterday I went into DZ solo and decided that I won't wait until someone goes rogue against me. I simply decided to shoot at everyone I see...
At first I thought that I will never survive the manhunt and that everyone would try to kill me... Well, I met the first player and downed him immediately. Rogue timer started, at first I was nervous but then.. nobody tried to attacked me except the mobs. I simply ran my usual farming route as a rogue and actually I saw some other players trying to run away from me as fast as they could... yes, even the teams. I have a rather 'ok' build with nothing outstanding (GS 194, 190K/70K/13K)... and I thought I wouldn't last long.
What is this? Are you guys so intimidated by rogues that having a rogue status actually helps you to stay alive?
Apparently 'shoot first, think later' strategy worked for me very well.
fear of hacker already installed in every PC gamer of the division
one person going rogue solo have a high chance of him being a hacker
and the timer factor too
the timer is too fast too reach zero before anyone try to catch up to your location
not including the crappy rogue detector who just blink few times with red color in red map who make old gamer hard to find you

To players simply trying to get to rank 75 or collect however much DZ credits they need it just isn't worth the risk. Avoiding a rogue costs nothing. Trying to engage has a high chance of losing XP and funds and a key or two since so many rogues are hacking or are covered in 240 gear and nearly invincible to the average player. Why would an average player bother?
my point is not about ethical reasons or complaining, as this multiplayer is IMO quite originally conceived by devs, to offer multiple possibilities of gameplay, and yours is legit as well as the othersOriginally Posted by uktorq Go to original post
yet from my point of view, this very moment, filled with very high-geared rogues - I am DZ60-170, btw - and cheaters (which does make no difference in the outcome from my perspective) is transforming the PvP experience in a waste of time, without possibility to rank up (and losing time to recover) or getting loot, to say the least: only for exploring until killed, just for "tourism", .... more than ever I don't even consider the risk of running after you on an improbable successful manhunt
this may be the possible moment of the definitive loss of interest in PvP
I steer clear of rogues, period. My gear score is 186, so reasonably high for someone who hasn't done incursion (and doesn't have enough Pcreds / DZ funds to get good blueprints). However, I just don't even fux with rogues, at all. Whether solo or as a team, I follow these rules:
1. Rogues are not worth my time or effort.
2. Assume that rogues will always have me outgunned and/or outnumbered, and probably both.
3. I do not feel like playing "SMGs & Somersaults" with other players.
4. If in doubt, refer to rule #1.
Rogues can have their manhunts and their rewards and loot the corpses of their enemies and hear the lamentations of their women and whatever. That's cool, I like that the rogue system exists for people who dig on it. I will simply always steer around them, and keep doing my thing. Got better things to do than chase skulls on the map or engage with what passes for PvP in this game.
Edit: I play on console, so hackers aren't really an issue -- glitchers, maybe, but not hackers.
Lol, yeah, with my luck I 'll try that trick and end up shooting youOriginally Posted by seymourkrelborn Go to original postor like that one video I saw where this dude went back and back until he killed them all.
Let's be honest though, it is exactly these unknowns which gets my heart pumping like I've done a marathon. Love it. Just need to get better at it.
That's the point. Going rogue offers you more XP, faster progression and that intimidation effect thanks to cheaters. So, the current game state looks like the devs push us into going rogues. It's simply more rewarding when the risk is basically the same.Originally Posted by Tozzifan Go to original post
