So if you're like me and haven't glitched the incursion and are just getting absolutely melted in the 161+ DZ by people with gear you can't compete with, you may be about to dump this game.
But, theres a way to have everything like it was before...
Simply work on building and running 2 gear sets, one top gear set which is the best set you can make, and one gear set that is 160 gear score or below.
Then, just use your best gear set to play PvE like the dailies, challenge missions and the incursion etc. and use your <160 gear set for the dark zone.
I've been doing this the past 2 days and oh my god it feels amazing that rogues are actually dieing again! I am actually a chance in battle! The game is fun again!
The lower bracket dark zone has the same loot and same XP as the higher rank dark zone (from my experience anyway, I've noticed no difference at all), but you won't be getting stomped by people in full 214/240 gear sets.
I'm sure most of you know how to de-gear your character to change back to the 0-160 bracket DZ, but for those that don't, here's how:
1) Simply make a new character (if you don't have one already), and make your way to Manhattan and establish the base of operations to get access to your stash.
2) Go back to your main character and kit yourself out in the best build you can that is 160 gear score or lower (suggest using a base line green pistol to help).
3) Send ALL the other items in your inventory that are higher gear score than what you equipped in every slot (including weapons) to your stash.
4) Go back to your second character and grab all the items out of your stash.
* Note, if there is ANY gear in your inventory or stash that is higher in gear score than what you have equipped, it can make you stay in the 161+ DZ bracket, you must have all your higher gear shifted to your other character.
Should you HAVE to go through this trouble to still enjoy the game? Absolutely not!
Is it a solution that works until Ubisoft can hopefully fix the fairness of this game? So far for me, yes.
I had fun today I went into the DZ1 area and headed for one of the extraction points. I climb up to the top of one of the scaffolds and pop off the NPC's that keep showing up there when someone calls in an extraction. More fun then ambushing weak player. At least the NPC's can hold there own in a fight and I collected a lot of XP point and cash from them and fellow players where able to extract there loot. A win all around.
You probably have higher GS items in your inventory that you haven't equipped.Originally Posted by Jimmahd Go to original post
At 152 you are probably even a weapon away from hitting the top bracket.
Check your inventory and see the things that you haven't equipped - something is pushing you above the threshold
Don't do what OP is saying. Jesus. I run a named-enemy loop in DZ06 in the 161 bracket consisting for four bosses. It takes me like 30 minutes, 100% solo. With a single bro you could do it in ten minutes. The only drawback is that leveling is a little slow. I started this loop a week ago at DZ rank 72 and I just got to 75. Who gives a blam about DZ rank above 50, though? Plus I think the gear isn't as good in the lower DZ brackets.
This goes for the PC cheaters and those who want to use loopholes/glitches to make the game easier:
If a game is too hard or not fun enough for you to play it as it was intended, play another game.
I'm not saying that this game doesn't have problems; there is virtually nothing to do at this point and crafting is beyond broken.
If anyone either needs help or just wants to run some named enemies on Xbox One, my GT is VinnyML.
And OP. I'm not trying to start a fight; these are just my opinions (but as a great man once said: Opinions are for people who can't do math... or... maths. Trying to include everyone).
I thought so too, but I scrapped everything and kept changing it all but the GS would not budge? I'll have to have a proper look tonight.Originally Posted by TickTak77 Go to original post

All good, I didn't see it as trying to start a fightOriginally Posted by vmlabarbera27 Go to original post
For me, the issue hasn't been with the PvE side of things, I am able to deal with the enemies fine in DZ 161+ (DZ05 & DZ06 areas do get a little rough solo for me though).
The issue I've been having is the rogues, before people exploited the incursion I encountered a few rogues, but nothing major annoying, but now with teams running full 214 & 240 gear its just been an utter nightmare in the higher DZ bracket.
For example, 3 or more groups of 4 rogues across the map, I was getting killed repeatedly, actually so much that I was starting to de-level quicker than I was levelling, and under no circumstance could I extract anything.
Yes its not always that bad, and different people have different luck in the DZs they enter, but 161+ brackets from my experience have just been utter hell since everyone glitched the new gear.
If the glitch never happened and it was a fair fight and I was dying, i wouldnt care, but when you litterally put 4 clips into a guy and his health doesnt budge and he wipes you out in under a second when he chooses to, thats demoralising, and my gear is definitely not bad.
You want to have fun with this guy in the lower bracket ? Just equip 2 crappy green level 4 guns (secondary and third weapon, keep a good first one ^^); change a piece of equipement to a lower level if it's not enough, and let's go in the lower bracket with a full sentry set and a level 32 primary weapon... Devs, devs, devs... no comment.
What timing! I was in the process or writing a separate post about this very issue. The TL;DR version is: rogues are virtually absent in DZ04 and above. This is, of course, not always true but I haven't seen a rogue "in" my radar (i.e., the red skull is actually near me) in weeks.Originally Posted by Gulmarrad Go to original post
