Summer Expansion story is all about DZ??? :(

According to the trailer I'll have to continually deal with rogue players... That can only mean the whole story is in the DZ??? WHY???? I mean offer a SP story content, I enjoyed leveling up solo to 30 (Twice, one total full playthrough), i mean some of the story was average, but it was fun. What isn't fun is having hackers shoot me in the face every time i want to progress in a co-op/solo environment. I don't enjoy DZ nearly as much Sure it's an experience to get split off from your group and have AI/Rogue players kill me and lose an hour of work, but it's not one I want to pay for (have paid for as a season pass buyer).

The Season Pass is the first of it's kind ove bought, and it's a test. If Massive/Ubi fail to actually follow through and use that money (with all other SP buyers) to fix/improve the base game over the year PLUS add good interesting story/gameplay content that lasts more than 1 sitting, I will probably never buy a seasons pass again for any franchise I have no attachment to (ie i'd only consider ME:A for any such thing ever again). I didn't buy the SW Battlefront pass because i see them adding no actual story/SP content, I wont buy Doom because there will be no story and $100 is just crazy. Other people can throw their cash away, not for me though.

So Summer DLC story for The Division, which I've already paid for... There doesn't even seem to be one. AT ALL. Come on.. I'd hope the industry has learned it has to hire actually decent writers and have a full gameplan and market it to entice people. All I get out of this is Massive has no ****ing idea where the story is going...WHY??? Why do this. Is it because game makers/publishers simply feel entitled to our money?

So yeah, besides all the interface, environment (sound, graphic), and hacker glitches that need repairing, providing a smooth DLC experience with an interesting if not captivating story is important. I'd say the story so far in The Division is interesting but not captivating. I don't feel or care for any of the NPCs on my side really. That's fine for some, but i don't know or get to know any of them in any real depth. You an have a plot, but with boring characters who ****ing cares? It's why i don't watch TV drama. Shallow and boring. It's why i didn't like Borderlands but love the Mass Effect series (even with the average ME3 ending that wasn't a travesty, just a bad idea in an overall steller story based game).

What's my point? My point is for a Tom Clancy game, with a popular if not good author's (I don't read war themed novels) name on it, i kind of expect an interesting storyline. and marketing that is story based, not BS marketing manure. I suppose I'm just an odd one that loves reading interesting fiction and desires a similar kind of experience to some extent in a game that has a capable author's name on it.

For this to work, Massive should have made two separate worlds, one with rogue agents everywhere, and one without. I came for the good story and challenging RPG shooting, not PVP/hackers.

The good news is, is that a good portion of the Rogues you don't want to deal with will either a) be banned by the time the DLC comes out, b) will not have purchased the DLC, or c) all of the above. So, there's no reason to really complain about it, outside of there not being a "story", so to speak.
