Please Fix the Problem with the Hackers

I can't tell you how much fun I have been having with the game up until two days ago. I have been exploring and instancing(dungeoning) meeting new people and just getting to know the map and different play styles. So, i was running around with a friend in a lower tier Dark Zone and we were noticing that most of the NPC's were killed. So first thing that pops into our heads is we better be ready there is another group(s) or solo players to watch for. We were excited, or at least I was. We end up luckily finding a camp untouched and proceed to clear it out up to the named mob and start in on him. We start taking his shields down and then next thing you know he was dead. I look at my friend think damn, what just happened there? I was thinking you really must have upped your dps. Then the next moment it was erased, as I see someone bolt in loot and then leave just as fast as they came in. Fast as in I was just able to tell they were an agent before they disappeared. My heart at this point just sank. I was having such a good time with the game never saw anything up to this point that would suggest that such a thing could happen in the game. I was at just before this point, about a 10/10 on this game. It quickly sank to 7/10 after this moment.

We jump out of the zone after talking about it a bit and jumping out of the game to research if this is a big problem with the game. I pull up a number posts and articles about how this was happening in beta as was promised to be taken care of. I am now deflated to about 6/10 at this point as clearly they didn't take care of it. I also noticed that you can now report peoples names which is supposed to flag them for observation(more on this later). I say ok, let's give it another go. I don't see any other cheaters running around the DZ, my hopes are at this point it was a rare occasion and that I would not run into this person again.

I switch characters to my original level 30 and start to run some instances to grab mats and maybe get lucky on an upgrade. Then it happens I get in a group running Lexington which I have run countless times before and the group starts to fill, one person drops out and one person had ported in and starts the encounter, which I can understand because sometimes if you wait to long for the group to fill and someone takes a peek the NPC gets killed and the zone bugs and you have to restart with a fresh group. However, after I fill the group and start running to help clear the original NPCs I noticed they are all dead. I am thinking, man this guy has some mad skills or is way more geared than me. We continue on the instance and now have a full group and things are dying like super easy, at this point I still don't think much of it as I have a 185 gear score and everyone else was above that. So I am thinking the new set pieces must be pretty darn good. We finish amazingly quick and start to notice at the final encounter that the heavies carrying the LMGs are getting downed really really quickly. We finish up and I restart the mission more out of curiousity to watch who was doing what. So we get to the roof top with just 2 of us in the elevator as the obvious hacker to me after this point closes the door on the other two. We get to the top and he proceeds to clear the entire roof in under 15 seconds and goes back to click the elevator switch to send the elevator down to get the others before they could even get up. I am now at about 5/10 for this game but always still optimistic.

I log on this morning to do my daily instances and as I am loading into the first instance of the day I hear a group talking over the group chat. The first thing I hear a guy talking about how he would be in the Dark Zone right now but there is always some hacker in there. I have not been in the DZ for quite some time at 30 because I wanted to learn the layout at lower levels before I go get melted by players who know the terrain better than me. My heart sinks even further. I mean seriously the first thing I hear in the game today is about hackers. I finish the instance and decide that I am going to check this out for myself. I pop over into the darkzone in the lowest tier and not 10 seconds after being in the zone I see a rogue I pulse out and see his outline quite a bit from me and definately not within vision just a red outline then the next thing I know I am dead. Ok, I was dead from an AR,SMG or LMG from a large distance. Way fishy but I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I jump right back in and what do you know same thing happens except this time I don't immediately space-bar into the closed spawn point I watch for a second or two. I see this character go from a large distance away to over my body and run another large distance in a matter of a few seconds. Clearly hacking. So I said I would talk about how we are supposed to be able to report the characters name to be flagged for observation. So for a brief moment I thought I was have some happy thoughts of I just caught t his guy hacking I am going to report his name and get some satisfaction. No, the brief moment that the name flashes on your screen to be able to memorize it pops up a name full of symbols or lower and uppercase letters no chance I am going to get that right.

I write this wall of text not to bore people, but to share an experience. To show that after well over 250 gaming hours of not running into trash/cheaters of how quickly a game can be diminished. It is also a warning to the game developers that they should take to heart. This kind of reputation is not a good thing to have in the community. You may have had a record opening for the game, however people will remember how you react to problems like this. If you don't address the problem good luck with future releases, as we will all have this in our memory. Why would we invest our time in future games only to know they are open to exploiters to take advantage of.

We have all paid to enter a game were we promised not to exploit, which is also a contract we have with you to not allow exploits in the game.

Please do not let us down, fix the problem of this great game.

They can't fix it. The architecture of the code is so bad that they coded themselves in a corner. I'm sure this is a product of the agile framework.

Fixing it would require a complete rewrite of a majority of the code and I highly doubt upper management is going to support that cost.

There has to be a solution I think other games have added third party software overlays to check file integrity or something of the matter. I really don't know the specifics on how the anti-cheat software works I just know some developers are using them now.

If you can not directly fix the problem other than trying to ban people hacking your game then atleast make the gear only attainable in the dark zone available outside the Dark Zone so we the people following the rules are not punished.
