Mobile Cover : The glitching tool

I don't even know where to begin....

Do you, ''DEVS'', realize that all of the game breaker glitchs are made using the F******* same stupid useless sh**** skill known as the MOBILE COVER. Get that thing out of the game ! What are you waiting for ? No one is using this skill ! It's garbage ! You dont need it because you can litteraly cover yourself EVERYWHERE. There is no point of having it. The only purpose of the skill is to let exploiters using it to find more glitch.

Isn't that hard ? Listen to your god damn community for once

Portal gun should definitely be disabled until they can make it not breach doors

Uh.. this thing is far more useful than standard cover. Depending on how much skill power you have, it gives better cover than just "standard cover". This coupled with smart cover gives me 64.40% bullet resistance and 22% blast resistance-- far more than any natural cover. In addition, the resistance of this skill applies to you so long as you are still using it as cover. This includes popping up to take a shot, and getting attacked from the sides and behind. Natural cover does not have this bonus in any form. If an enemy attacks you from the side or behind, or while you pop out to shoot, you still take the full brunt of the damage while using natural cover. With both Mobile Cover and Smart Cover up at once, I can take two shotguns to the face before I fall or am forced to retreat. Players using natural cover, however, cannot.

While using it for exploits is unfortunate, this skill is still a heavily under-utilized skill. Just like most of the skills in the security tree. Seems like a vast majority of the players I see end up running some sort of heal build, and then they wonder why they get wrecked by a sniper or shotgun in one shot.

Well....Usually, 75% damage reduce smart cover is enough to endure most bullet damage. (If you already have 65% armor defense)

And most blast attack is easy to evade before explode.

Also smart cover master skill grants user to maintain buff 5 seconds even after getting out of cover.

So mobile cover is basically useless now. There are plenty of unbreakable covers out there and even skill cooltime doesn't recharge before it breaks.

I recommend devs to temporalily remove this skill until it fixed. It is mostly not used in normal situation as intended anyway.

I agree, the mobile cover is the No.1 source of most exploits, and Massive are patching walls instead of what is being used to get through the wall.

My understanding of the glitch is to place the skill/cover just before the safe area in-front of a wall and moving into the denied area closer to the wall forcing the cover to be placed on the other side, thats fine but heres the major part, your character then auto covers on the skill pulling you through the wall, can't they just disable auto cover on skill placement, therefore removing the exploit and keeping the skill in game ?

There's no situation in the game where Mobile Cover is the best skill to have equipped, except for when you need to slip through an inconvenient wall or closed door.

And even if it was the greatest skill in the game, it would still be the proper thing to disable it until they can make Mobile Cover and Ballistic Shield not take precedence over other game geometry. We'll have to see what they do come Monday.

You maybe have a boost or damage resistance but your cover can't move. So you place it and you need to stay there. You have zero mobility if you're getting pushed or the AI/Player is pressuring you so you need to fall back. There is wayyyyy better skill to use before using the mobile cover.

The better thing to do, would be to improve the out of bounds area for the missions. Once a players gets out of bounds, the mission should reset or wipe. Seems pretty lazy coding on the part of the dev, to set the out of bounds peramiters as the general location of the mission, and not take into account any kind of elevation changes, unless you clip through the bottom of the map..

But that's sensible thinking. Ubisoft refuses to employ anyone who thinks sensible and every employee has to be tested for extreme knee jerks... if they kick the tester in the nuts really hard they employ them. But any sensible thinking and they are sacked on the spot.
