Yes, this will be a good change for the community
No, I enjoy kicking people if I feel their GS is too low
I haven't had an issue with gear scores yet, but I can understand the frustration from people who are being kicked because of their gear score. Every game I've played that introduced gear score has suffered from it (from a community standpoint).
Now what I mean by hide gear scores is...make the gears score only visible to you and the system. Missions will have gear score thresholds that will determine whether or not a person can queue for a mission, but individual gear scores wouldn't be visible to the whole world.
I personally believe this will help the community as a whole, and would stop elitist group leaders from kicking people before they even load into a mission.
this^ GS currently is 100% useless. sure 200+ generally means a players is using sets so it has some meaning but 160-190GS doesn't mean a damn thing they could have incredible gear rolled with perfect stats or nothing at all.Originally Posted by TtargetPractice Go to original post
Good point. I hadn't considered that option. I was only thinking of a quick fix for the GS issue, but inspecting others works as well. However, as a matter of pride, I doubt they'll remove GS entirely now that they made the decision to implement it (I'm not saying it's right...but when pride and ego are involved, bad decisions often follow).Originally Posted by DmdttPS Go to original post
I haven`t had a issue whit it, as im 204 GS, and i don`t kick becouse they are low, becouse i can "boost".
But i rather whould have the option to hide it, or make it so you can only make friends see it and so on, becouse if you queue for a CM, you atleast got the required GS for it, so it should not be a issue.
I like too see it, so i can play accordingly, if i end up in a group whit low geared people (anything under 160) i pick more CC, if most are over 180 i pick more damage stuff and try for speed run rather.
But i know how much of a pain in the *** it is too be booted becouse some elite scrub decide you are based on that, i played wow for many years.
Personally at this point I gear score doesn't matter to me because the missions are easy but if they hide gear score then they'd have to lock out lower lvl players from higher level content down the line
Carried a random 80 gear score through the challenging but now looking back before gear score, players like that were most likely the reason for constant wipes and quiting mid challenge mode. Some people want to run things quick and get it through, not waste time carrying a low level
