some people may love these songs, but they are hardly the inspirational songs that people yearn to learn, which is what we want in a learning tool, not mediocre songs that were cheap to license,because that is what this year's releases seem to say to me, imho ymmv don't get yer knickers in a knot,it's just an opinion.

Yeah, that sums it up really.

I like what I've heard of Devo before, so I checked this song out. It's a simple riff for three minutes (structurally very similar to Angela by Jarvis Cocker). An ok song, but there's nothing for lead or bass players there. In fact, the rhythm guitar is present in the video performance, everything else is played on Moog keytars.

Oh well.

I passed on Disturbed but the BLS pack was actually really fun to play on rhythm, which is sort of what I love to play these days.

Lots of love for lead and bass here on this forum, but very little love for us rhythm enthusiasts, BLS is an absolute BLAST to play on rhythm.

I like rhythm. I tend to jump between lead and rhythm quite a lot. Unfortunately, I can't stand metal so I really don't see myself enjoying BLS.

I didn't see any of them either. That song by Devo would not be one I would expect. Most people know of Devo from their one and only hit, 'Whip it.'

I agree with this, but I'd rather see a pack from Bryan Adams. He has several that would fit well with Rocksmith, not "Everything I Do," unless the piano is transcribed for piano, but many others.
