Tomorrow, Rocksmith will release three songs from the popular modern rock band, Imagine Dragons. The songs are:
Demons (Eb Standard)
Radioactive
It's Time

Great selection, they easily could've had a five pack with permission. Here's hoping lots of people pick it up and we get Imagine Dragons II.Originally Posted by ghmorello Go to original post

Ouch, that certainly does help put things into perspective. 1 week of 'textural guitar' over here in RS-land seems really tenable by comparison. I am being serious.Originally Posted by Grumble Volcano Go to original post
I like listening to Imagine Dragons, and to be fair they do have a legit guitar player in the group. My only reluctance towards learning songs in which the guitar is textural instead of being the primary instrument is that people can't tell what song it is when they hear me playing the guitar part (and frankly, it's hard for me to tell whether I'm doing a good job of playing it or not, for the same reason).
We'll get 'em next week, though.
Edit: and the video for Radioactive is cool.
Ha, always a fan of some muppet on muppet violence, way better video than I was expecting on this one. That pink muppet cleaned house!Originally Posted by The_Working_Man Go to original post
Hey, I have heard Radioactive on TV without knowing the band.
Ummm I know the trackers may put some bass in, but I am pretty certain there is no bass in this song.
really perturbed that Ubi do this more and more lately. Umm Rocksmith for guitar AND BASS says the promo.A few songs lately have had little bass, like for half a song a couple of weeks ago.
Selecting music with little guitar and no bass kinda goes against the philosophy of being a guitar and bass teaching tool doncha think?
Happy that you include music that the younger crowd want, but please make it guitar based.
What next? Rick Wakeman's Journey to the Centre of the Earth?
omg I want that Fall Out Boy song!!!!Originally Posted by Grumble Volcano Go to original post
If you enjoyed that one, here's another (this time without Taylor)
Sorry for being OT, could not resist...
Demons is Eb Standard and the other 2 are just E Standard.Originally Posted by ghmorello Go to original post
@daddy_felix I totally see a 2nd Fall Out Boy pack happening this year as there's already been plenty of RS1 DLC artists getting a 2nd DLC pack recently like Megadeth, The Offspring, The Black Keys and My Chemical Romance. I'd totally want a mixture between pre-hiatus and post-hiatus material though so like for a 5 pack this would be fine:
Grand Theft Autumn / Where Is Your Boy?
A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Touch Me"
This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race
My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light 'Em Up)
Centuries
Back on topic, some of you may remember this performance of "It's Time".
Starts off with a Majora's Mask medley and then goes into the song.
