There is a topic about this on Reddit.

Most part of the debate is :
3 day ban if i exploit but get full set gear Vs doing it legit => The conscensus seems like "i'll take the ban and exploit the hell out of the game"

    :-(

Sad part is that they are right. If Ubisoft does only a 3 day ban for this, it will not stop anybody from doing so.
3 day ban + character wipe seems like at more efficient solution...

And of course hackers are should be perma-baned. On the first catch.

I don't play enough to really care about exploits, but what am I missing? On one hand, everyone is complaining that all the gear and drops are awful... but on the other people are complaining that people are exploiting to get all the good gear. Which is it?

Using the internet for a strategy is an exploit. Crafting 50 Vectors is an exploit. Watching a YouTube "how to" is an exploit. but now we are putting layers on exploits and which are acceptable? I am sorry for not getting it, but I don't get it.

Instead of punishing exploiters I feel like they should reward legit players with something unique. That way I have people to play with instead of running solo in the DZ for 3 days while the vast majority of the community would be on temp ban

Why is it bad? It's just something that happened in a game. It's really not that serious.

The problem is not solely on the players, teh dev team and QA over at massive have the lions share of fault for making a deeply flawed piece of content that cannot have been properly tested before releasing the build. Players will use whatever tools at hand for teh most part and there are those that look for this exact kind of thing due to poor programing/QA and use that tool till it is fixed. It is a matter of game mechanics and the ones we have in the Dvision are truely broken and not soon to be fixed if the silence from teh dev team is any indication of things.

Lol, reset for exploiters? Guys it does not affect anyone what they do with in-game skills or talents or character movements. What we should be wary of is the hackers using third party software to hack the game. Exploits are only thing done with your character because of bad coding and also because the Beta testers never reported them in the first place so that they could use it them self.

I for 1 will like to see hackers getting the ban hammer way before they even think about taking care of exploiter's. Because exploits don't brake the game but hacks do because of third party software used in this case that can harm the game but also the players.

Think before posting crap.guys exploits don;t brake the game hacks do!

The problem inherent with this is they failed to really punish anyone for using exploits on Bullet King, Hornet, Hutch, Police Academy, Lex, General Assembly, and/or gear in the past. In fact, they often made light of them or outright used the exploits/glitches themselves! They didn't address the fact that people using those exploits were so readily able to gear up ultra-fast and create a very wide gulf between those who could/did exploit vs. those who wouldn't/didn't. They tried to 'fix' this by upping the 163 HE drop rate but that was just a band aid.

Now, people who didn't participate in those prior exploits are now clamoring to jump into whatever the next exploit is - Incursions in this case - so they're not left behind like they were last time. None of this justifies the exploiting but I sincerely feel if Massive had taken control earlier and if they had a better loot design, these exploits wouldn't have gotten so out of control. At this point, trying to punish anyone would end up catching a whole lot of innocent people as well.

I'd personally prefer it if they'd just disable Incursion until the patch can be given out so they stop the bleeding here and then, as others have said, spend time making sure the next batch of content is glitch-free. Otherwise we're just going to keep repeating this cycle of trying to put a band-aid on an large and growing wound.

They are working on the Hackers and will issue the bans accordingly. That is why I am not complaining about them. The exploiters though are going to just get away with it free and clear. And you know whats going to happen next time? Everyone and their brother will exploit because they wont fear anything. 3 day ban would be laughable. Oh they have to take a weekend off and play dark souls 3? Wow that really will make them think twice about doing it again.

ban exploiters? its not people fault the game is bugged you silly... ban the ****ing cheaters that ruin everybody's 'fun' instead.

EDIT: do you remember how fast they reacted when CM were dropping 4HE items per run? Why havent they fixed bulletking or hornet that fast its not like their 'fixes' were that complicated...

400 PC would be way too low, that sounds like a bargain considering how fast you can farm PC in DZ06.
