Stop Twitch Streaming and start fixing your game!

I stated I wouldn't post here again. Well I am coming back to state this and only this:

STOP TWITCH STREAMING WITH YOUR STAFF UNTIL YOU FIX YOUR PRODUCT.

I AM CALLING OUT YOU xMiiSTY! I get email alerts about twitch streams. Half the time it is you in there leveling your toons.

I rather see you on here answering questions and doing something constructive on here as your titled as a COMMUNITY MANAGER. You streaming you playing the game, even if it might be your off hours, is a slap in the face of everyone on here who is still looking for answers and help. I have yet to get a response from an Ubisoft employee or even a Massive employee on here.

The same goes for anyone on your staff that is part of the working Dev team. Stop twitch streaming until you have a working product.

Your game is broken now to the point I can't enjoy the game play. I played yesterday for some time. Most of my time was spent going around gathering resources. It is basically all I can do, but even that has issues, such as doors not opening.

I try to do the daily mission assignments and I can't recall the last time I joined a group and either the start wasn't bugged or I didn't fall through the game world.

These are game-breaking issues. Lets not even go into those who are exploiting all these issues.

IDC. Take down the servers. Fix the issue. Rollback a patch. Don't just let these issues sit there for a week while you guys stream gameplay. I fell like I was duped into paying for the most expensive Beta Access to a game ever. Keep in mind I own all the DLC minus the most recent sports pack, which after this patch I refuse to spend any more money on this game.

So do us all a favor. Stop streaming, start fixing the product and once you have it working and not full of game breaking issues, when you have that done, go back to streaming. It is a giant slap in the face of your player base.

At least you can ****ing play right? Want to know whats even better than your situation? How about me. I played daily 3-4 hours, then on the 12th when I log in to play incursions my character gets corrupted. STILL NOT ****ING FIXED STILL NO CHARACTER. Can't make a new character because it will be deleted when the account rollback happens. NO ****ING WORD on when the rollback will happen, I'm thinking they'll just take their ****ing time and MAYBE do it next tuesday.

At least you can freaking play. Want to know even better than watching them twitch? How about knowing they're twitch streaming when this ENTIRE FREAKING COMPANY should be fixing the accounts of the 1000 or so XBL players who STILL CANNOT PLAY THE GAME. I haven't played since the 11th so maybe take a ****ing second and have some solidarity with the guys who have truly gotten screwed, us XB players with deleted characters and no ability to make a new character.

You do understand that us streaming has nothing to do with work being done on the fixes, right?
On the contrary, streaming allows us to have a continuous conversation with you and inform you first hand when information drops.

Communications. There's some bit on Twitter, some on the Twitch, some on the game web page. Very little of it is on the forum, apart from the maintenance announcements.

The stream is useless. Watching someone play game and repeat the same thing over and over again - thank you, but no thank you.

You cant be serious. You actually think the streamers are the same people that actually program the games? That's like me telling you that the USA has a budget deficit, so that means that you should not buy a cup of coffee, so that you can help pay off the debt.

It's terribly hard to believe that any serious effort is being made to have a continuous conversation with your customers. Literally all of the forum responses regarding the incursion exploit has been one liners copy & pasted. This reflects very poorly on Ubisoft, and the folks working on this product. Perhaps the gaming industry is the exception, but this is some piss poor levels of communication and relationship management being applied to your product's issues.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book, if anything it'll shed some light on how public relations should be done.

And what do you think the people streaming can do about the exploits exactly?

Why would a community manager, whose job description doesn't require any programming knowledge, troubleshoot code?

Nothing. But he is the poor soul that has to deal with all the anger of people in the Forums. And since there is no one else he is the one who is getting blamed because he has "Ubisoft" written in his name.

Umm... If you've been watching the twitch you'd understand just how wrong this thread is...

Most of the dev's ARE fixing the doings and goings on by those that seek to exploit.. those on the twitch for the most part are the PR team... you do understand that right??

    Right??

It's far... FAR more than i've ever seen any other company do.. we have a line of communication raley seen.. it'd be refreshing if it wasn't for the utter venom spewed at them every minute.. that's just heartbreaking... what has become of us, gamers.. what have we become over the years?? yes.. i basically was in a cave the past decade (well a house.. but not looking at forums just playing) I came out of my cave to look around and we've gone somewhat feral... if we can't exploit we moan and demand we can... how did this happen??

I'd like to go on the record as stating "i'll have no part in this malarkey"
This isn't how it used to be.. we used to understand games were hard to make.. harder still with a new engine built expressly to run it, games... software as a whole.. will always have bugs, it's the nature of the beast.. your OS has bugs.. your consoles are riddled with them.. they have been since the dreamcast/xbox/ps2 era. Arcade machines had/have bugs... even donkey kong.

    Nothing is perfect..

This stared with the right idea.. and has devolved into anarchy.. we need to settle down and wait it out.. they have a plan, let's see it unfold.
Let's at least.. not be so outright nasty about it.
