I love youre game. There are so many simple ways to fix the exploits but it seems u dont give a (sorry) fack!
It makes me and all of my friends so angry. Any1 who doest not play this games says: DONT BUY IT! ITS Ubi-Crap! Dont! Please, they never fix anything- They take ure money and let the broken game be broken. Dont buy it.
I bought it...and now think about what i will say to new products...Shame...
PS: Sorry for the bad English
from when ugg discovered it was much easier to bash in a skull with a rock tied to a stick then use his bare hands humans have strived to optimise their time and make difficult tasks less difficult. This is coded into us as electicity and water will take the path of least resistance. we shall too.
please ubisoft do not punish us for being human
from when ugg discovered his name was steve and that he now lived in a modern society governd by social morality steve decided to ignore good sportsmanship and respect for his fellow competitors and like ugg before him found a way to make a difficult task less difficult... this made steve feel like a king albeit a fake king , this made his competitors angry so they took there frustrations to dz01 only to be one shotted by ... steve
please ubisoft punish us for being steve
Hehe. I guess I’m the most stupid of all users who bought this game and I tell you why.
I played the game nearly from the beginning, which means the first open beta. In the feedback I mentioned exactly the issues the game has right now, but I still bought the game. Not for the full price obviously, but nevertheless...
1. Bugs/Glitches
Even with only a small part of the map available I experienced numerous issues as being stuck in the in some trash etc. Quality is always an issue in games (or software in general), but this is unacceptable and game breaking.
The time to fix those issues takes ages as well. I read an article in a games mag some days ago, stating that finding bugs is easy and fixing them is difficult. This is absolute non-sense and could only be said by a person who has absolutely no idea of coding! I made code reviews for companies who have single applications with more than 400 million lines of code! To be fair, I don’t have any experience in game development itself, but the Divison is ridiculously small compared to that and even there, finding bugs is difficult! Not even sure, if games use fstackprotector, fortify source or other compile security flags to utilize ASLR and to e.g. avoid privilege escalation.
Anyways, problem here is consequence management. All of us use to by their crappie software again and again and again…. Even if we KNOW that this game will be a disaster. Consumer seem to judge software another way then let’s say cars or any other physical good, probably because it’s much more difficult to grasp the complexity of an immaterial good.
Usually the code should be in a solid state after:
- Code scans with Fortify or whatever tool during development in Perforce or whatever RCS you use.
- Tests: Performed by TESTERS and not DEVS. If you let a DEVS check their code they will never find anything, because they will use the software as intended. What you want to have is someone who uses the software NOT as intended.
- Code reviews: Let the code being audited! Yes, it is expensive, but necessary!
- Alphas/Betas
On the other hand, do I often see those issues as well, because the “culture” of a company. Mostly, there is for example no incentive for DEVs to fix their broken stuff and Scrum doesn’t help at all, especially if for introversive people, because it is a tool of imposing social pressure on the DEVs.
To be clear. All those issues are mostly based on economic, social, management or whatever problems, but they are no technical problems! I’ve never seen any executive taking responsibility on bad quality software. I only hear DEVs here, DEVs there… Believe me. If the bugs don’t get fixed, this is a management decision and thus a management issue and no technical one!
2. Cheaters
Honestly, if all runs client side this was more than obvious that this will happen! And I would also encrypt the traffic to avoid the analysis of the traffic. Use code injection and obfuscation, runtime checks, dummy calls, own routines and whatever else to make it harder to reverse and develop cheats. On the other hand, as long as CE can be used without any dll injector or whatever…
So the issue is there, because wrong infrastructure decisions were made! Those will never be fixed again, because fixing bugs is expensive, but fixing infrastructure issues is a financial disaster.
Sure all those teleporters and other obvious cheaters will get less, but more sophisticated cheater will be in this game until it dies. And Fairfight - is obviously just a useless and also bad marketing joke....
3. Content
It was obvious to me, and I guess to so many people as well, the the content delivered will not be worth the price of the game! And those unbelievable boring missions. OMG. Why do we even need to do those repetitive tasks over and over again. There is no real character development anyways. The leveling in Division is as useless as the levels in Battlefield. It just forces you to do boring stuff until you grinded your way to some certain skills/weapons/whatever. And even the guns. There are only a view models of guns which repeat all over the place. Even visually this game bores me. I only think about Arma. This is weapon customization!
Dark zone on the other hand gets boring fast as well. Rogue system makes no sense. Hackers and now hordes of imba players who glitched themselves the Sentry’s Call outfit and go rampaging now in the DZ.
According to statistics does not even half of the player base play with other players! Think about that! In a MMO! If you want to experience team play then join Squad!
So what to do? For PVE, there are much more interesting games out there. PVP, the same! Solo grinding? Aion or any Asia grinder will do that job better as well. So do we have a game here which tries to be everything, but at the and it does everything worse than other titles?
And why no in-game auctions? Guess the money was used to build a micro transaction platform...
U see, in my frustration I could go on and on, lining up problem after problem, but it will bring nothing but a waste of my time…
So long, my 2 cent,
sizeof(void)
And its unfortunately getting worse:
Damage glitch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNnyAtZqqiM
Credits glitch: https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision...rming_exploit/
I think the game should be redone and a subsequent reset of the database are the only possible option or people should at least have the possibility to get their money back. Because Ubi is not even strict against cheater (e.g. Rainbow Six – three strikes), they will never perma-ban exploiters, which would be questionable anyways, because Ubi delivered a product in a horrible quality in the first place.
If you compare this to the VW scandal, then I really ask myself, why software companies are not held legally responsible for they very own products?!? When for example my mail account gets hacked, because they give a sh*t about the personal data of their customers and do not even implement a state of the art security concepts and technologies (TLS 1.3, DANE, DNSSEC, Forward Secrecy, PKI as PGP, no NSA primes or other weak cipher suites, and so on…) they should be held liable for any damages cause! When a car has major defects and anyone is harmed due to that defect, then the car manufacturer is responsible as well. We need a “costs-by-cause principle” for games and software in general as well! This must change!
True this mindset is slowly changing, but in my opinion much to slow…
cheers,
sizeof(void)
We have put up with the bugs and kept playing. bugs such as getting kicked out of a mission area because i just start sinking into the ground! And when i go back to join my friends in the mission, all doors are closed. The bug that allowed me to cross closed doors was the only way to rejoin the fight.
Rolling out from a spot, just to find myself clinging to a surface in a totally different direction from where i was pointing.
A group member who gets disconnected, times out from a group, cannot be replaced by another player during an incursion, because were in a no respawn zone.
That's just to name a few. Others have named all the rest like gun won't fire, enemies teleporting, DPS calculation is totally off. how is damage per SECOND affected by my ammo capacity?!
Getting stuck in trash and not being able to climb a small step....
What about the double revive....an exploit to punish for as well?
etc ....
I gave up on the DZ because it's no longer fun at all with rogue players camping at the extraction areas and sabotaging extractors. DZ is bring out the worst in people TBH.
We used to criticize Bunjie, but at least they take responsibility for their bugs, clear them out, and life goes on. At least their light level is directly proportional to their DPS...
It's a question of design and quality.
You wanna punish us, we go back to playing destiny, and your game is deleted...simple...but do refund us for the game in that case, and delete our profiles. Ball in your court. Your reputation is at stake here.
Did i mention NAT issues the moment you enter the DZ?
Is there anything that works normally in the game?
If you really dislike exploits, why did you keep it valid for weeks now?
Also incorrect. You can get a lot actually. Get the 240, put it in stash, roll a new character to 30 in 5 hours, do it again.Originally Posted by SilentFearHNR Go to original post
