    Oh and as someone who primarily solos in the dark zone, I try to keep up gear wise with the lead pack so I have a fighting chance to survive in an increasingly more dangerous dark zone. If the restore is next Tuesday, I'm going to be facing down people in all 32s since I'm ilvl 180 (which will be the lowest ilvl in the new bracket)

    Which is my point exactly. Between the lost progress and further lost play-time the loss is substantial.

    I'm sure they have the info serer side / behind the scenes. It would be relatively easy to detect corrupted files, or they could do it to all accounts which were on the problem servers at the time, or they could do it manually based on who has submitted tickets.

    THANK GOD. didn't want to start all over again. I made a new guy late last night, and hoped it would be resolved when i got home from work which is now. But, the chat person sent me this link. When will this be updated or implemented. Would like to get back to gaming.

And you did that restart during prime time play time on the east coast (around 6pm.) is there going to be a off schedule maintenance between now and then for Xbox?
    It seems that any character on that same account will lose all progress once they implement the fix.

    I understand that but he states it will be restored "soon" the. Goes on to state "you will loose everything between apr 12 and the NEXT maintenance" since usually they are on Tuesdays my question is: next Tuesday or will there be one sooner? I'm not going to play 5 days leveling up a character I'm going to loose. If it's soon as in the next couple days then I'll screw around more with my lower level character. But If it's a week from now I'll just play something else till then.

    Some of you reported that their characters went missing after Update 1.1. Our team has identified and fixed the source of this issue to ensure that your characters could be correctly restored.

    The issue was caused by a malfunctioning server that couldn’t synchronize character data correctly and corrupted them instead. The game client was unable to read this corrupted data, and simply assumed that the character didn’t exist. Once this has been identified, we were able to restore the server to its normal functions, thus ensuring that the issue will no longer occur for other players.

    For those who experienced the issue: your character is not gone. We are currently working on a fix that should make it available shortly. Implementing this fix will require a server downtime, and we will let you know when we are ready to perform it.
    Please note however that in order to make your character available, we will need to restore the latest uncorrupted save of your entire account, which happened during the server maintenance of April 12. In other words, your character will be back just as you left it on April 12 at 9am CEST | 3am EDT | 12am PDT. You will lose any progress made on this character or any other one from the same account between April 12 and the next maintenance. This only applies to players who have been affected by the missing character issue.

    We apologize for the inconvenience and want to thank you for your understanding and your help in identifying this issue.

    There was a short maintenance last night to implement the hotfix.

    Just putting my GT out there for the devs again. I dont mind waiting as I would just to be glad to have my character back even though I am going to lose a few pheonix creds and some HE items I got in the dailies and DZ. I am ok with losing a couple hours. I was sure NOT ok with losing on 7 days game time. I will stay logged off til then. Here I come Destiny. GT : Rcblackbelt24 XBOX ONE.....
