Just moved to a new property, broadband service is going to take another 2-3 weeks to be connected.
So obviously can't buy the game online and download.
Bought 1 from amazon, arrived today! SUPER EXCITED
And finally found out that the game cannot be installed without Uplay.
And Uplay cannot be logged in as offline if never logged in online
(which doesnt make sense to me at all, if i could log in once online, why would i log in offline?)
What is the point of buying a hard copy and cannot install without internet connection?
What about those players that have no internet access at all?
I have no idea what these game maker thinking…
And i cannot find a word to express how pissed off and how disappointed I am right now!!!
Games these days have become so complicated even just to install to play
Hi Jaychtan1, Welcome to uPlay! this must be the worst game provider on the web. I have been having trouble with them for years and now find myself in the same predicament as yourself. I too, purchased the DVD to avoid the very probable hassle of the online situation. However, although I do have an account with them, when trying to install the game, I am told, like yourself, to sign in to uPlay. For some inexplicable reason my login appears to be rejected and I cannot get past this page. I have tried changing my password, rebooting the PC and numerous four-letter words (most of which I learned from previous experience with this provider) but to no avail. No idea what the solution is, but if you ever find one, I would love to hear about it. The galling thing is that my youngest son is playing quite happily on his X-box. There ought to be some form of legal redress available for the fraudulent behaviour of this company. - Yours disillusionedly, Bob
As a PS to my last very critical post, In all honesty I cannot fault the previous versions of Far Cry and have really enjoyed playing all of them - which probably explains my frustration of not being able to play this, the latest of the series. But really . . . . . I still maintain that signing on to the online versions has been impossible and I just stopped trying.
