    Newbie Questions...

Hi there, fellow Track Creators. I just discovered that Trials has arrived on PlayStation two Years ago. I was jealously eyeballing on XBox for having the IP on their Platform. But finaly I was able to play it too. So I'm all new to the whole Editor. I watched many Tutorials of Trials Evo about all the Triggers and Events and stuff, and nearly watched all the Editor Streams for Trials Fusion (well, at least the Shifty-Hours)

Which leads me to two questions i couldn't find and answer via Google or with the Search function of this message board.

    1) Is it possible to share a Track so that someone else can work on it?
    2) Who can i use the Earth Horizon from the DLC? I assume i'd have to remove the whole «World» from the Editor. But how can i do this?

I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Oh, and there i got a third Question:

Is it possible to «drop» something in the Editor using physics and it stays where it is? When i turn on physics in the Edior the part drops, but when i turn the Physics of again the Part jumps back to the position where it was before.

1: I won't say it is impossible to share your track for someone else to edit but that option doesn't exist in game. I don't know how cloud saving works but maybe you could do it in a roundabout way like having 2 consoles logging into the same account and downloading a cloud save? I wouldn't do this though, it is very likely breaking some rule about account sharing.

2: You can build on the beach, or high in the air and you can get a decent view of the horizon. It is pretty easy to clear the map of stuff you don't want people to see with an area clear tool in the General tab. You can also get a better looking horizon by messing with the environment settings in the track settings part of the pause menu.

3: No, You can preview it but once you pause physics the object jumps back to where it was. Your best bet is to preview it and see about where it lands and move the object to that spot, You can also select the object and then enable physics and it will let you move it with physics enabled and give a more natural position to where you place it.

@Rudhelm Just wanted to say welcome to the Trials Community, I'm glad you'll be building with us

As Reese6619 said the best way to simulate the physics is to select an object and press the Physics Button (the Select button on Playstation). Then move the RS down to simulate gravity. This way you can place your object in the about the same way as normal physics works.

If you need anything else feel free to ask, we're all happy to help. I look forward to your creations!

Well, thanks for the Tipps with the physics, i never thought about turning physics on when i have an element selected :-) I will try it at Lunchbreak (i'm so addicted, i bought Fusion for the 360 we have in the office, just to play it in Lunchbreaks )

I think you got me wrong about the Horizon thing. There is an Element in the Editor called «Earth Horizon» (it's «Erdhorizont» in german, i just translatet it), if i remember correctly it is from the Awesome Level MAX DLC. If i want to place it in a Track i can't see it. I think because it is covered by the «World» already in place, so therefor i would have to remove or hide (using the Area Clear tool) the whole «World». Or am i wrong? But then, how can i hide the whole «World»? I thought i read something about Coordinates of the Base World element, but i can't find it anymore. But even when, how can i enter Coordinates to the Area Clear Tool? Using OPE?

So many Question it hink you already answered a hundred times, but i can't find it in the forum :-)

-You could SharePlay if you got PS plus to allow a person to work on your track. Another option is letting your acct info be used by the other person and doing upload saves between you both.

-The world is invisible when looking at it from the back side. It's really huge and turning it having selected it should let you see.

Yah, Earth Horizon is probably the largest object in the game so it is "spawned" or "created" very far away. Sometimes it is hard to see and it can be hidden by the World/Terrain. You could try going very high up in the sky and then "spawn" or "create" the Earth Horizon object. You should be able to see it clearly if you are really high up in the air.

The coordinates for Base World objects are here --> http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...or-Tips-Tricks

Unfortunately there is no way to remove/delete the terrain. It is always there.

Yeah, by definition the Horizon should be the largest Object i was thinking something like that, because when i spawned it and moved the stick the camera was following reaaaaaaaaaly slowly. But i asumed was it just blocked by the Horizon there already is. But it all makes sense now :-)

And thanks again for the hint about the turned on physics, works like a charme, obviously :-) I had a pretty hard time to create stacks where i can rest the ramps on without ending up with texture flickering due to overlapping elements, even though it was just for optical reasons so it does not seem like they were floating. I'm pretty sure i will run into a lot of questions during my learning. Thanks for the great Community here.

Hi Rudhelm, welcome to the forums. So a couple of tips if you don't already know them. You can go to the Editor settings and at the bottom is "Focus Camera." Turn that off if the camera is hard to control while you build. You can then hold the left shoulder button to move around with objects selected. For the flickering objects, you can move one of them slightly so they are not trying to occupy the same space. For the horizon object, you can build high up in the air and then you can see/place it below you. You can also go to track setting and decrease the view distances....this will help with not seeing the World/Terrain below also.

Thanks for the welcoming, SwampBalls (OMG! He spoke to me, i love your Tracks, just mindblowing Work!)

I'm pretty happy with the «Focus Camera» when building the driveline. When building decoration it could be realy helpful to turn it of :-)

To this «just build high up in the Sky» thingy i got another question: Is there a way to move the Elements quicker than just moving it upwards with the Controller? Like enter Coordinates for them? I know, It's basically just one Element and the Checkpoint to move, but it takes so f***ing long to move it high enough I think that would be a realy nice feature in the editor -> a simple way to work with values for position and rotation of elements.
