Camera Bug, it's moving itself without touching the controller

I've just tested the controller with other games like BO3 and Destiny, and it isn't the controller, it was fine in those games, but in The Division, the camera moves itself

Same here. Problem definitely started after the patch. Camera angle keeps panning right by itself even without my touching R stick.

    Hi guys,

i've seen in the forums that a few people are having this issue after the patch. I had this too and realized it is related to the new "deadzone" slider they added under the Control Settings. By default it comes on 5% which seems to be low enough to detect any minimal deviation of the analog stick from the center (even when at rest). I changed the setting from 5% to 25% at it was fixed and deadzone still feels good.

    Hope this helps!

Yea this helps but it keeps resetting back to 5% every time I boot up the game so I literally have to adjust it every time I play. Is there a way to make it stick?

Oh! I didn't know about the deadzone setting reseting every time since I've only played once since the patch came out. Sounds like a bug more tan you/me doing something wrong.

Sorry for the noob question, but which is the official way to raise the issue to the developers? Is there a mailbox where we can formally write to or is a post in the forums enough?

25% seems awful steep to stop it from moving , yes I too have this problem, it got me a bit motion sick at first but I guess I'll deal with it and hope they fix it because I personally don't even like having it up as high as 5

Yeah it's definitely the deadzone setting, and unfortunately they forgot to save the setting when you adjust it, so it always reverts back to 5%, which is way too sensitive.
I had to change to a different controller in the end, as my other one had more stiff analog sticks, so it didn't occur as often.
All they need to do is save the setting when adjusted.

A bit relieved to learn I'm not the only one with the issue of deadzone not saving. Compared with other bigger issues out there I doubt they'll fix it any time soon though.

My controller is almost 2 years old and admittedly a bit worn out. I wonder if a brand new one will eliminate the problem...

a new controller wont fix it I replaced my battery and thumbsticks on two controllers before realising that it was the game causing the issue the only fix I have found is unistalling the game and reinstalling (which is very annoying) also it seems to happen when the ps4 notifies me that the controller is low if I charge it up and then uninstall etc it works fine but it virtually makes the game impossible to play at times!
