    Craft before or after patch?

Should we be spending all of our materials before the patch, trying to get good rolls and mods; or save materials for after patch when crafting gets more expensive, but allegedly easier to get materials. What's gonna be the better bang for the buck?

    I would say:

    1. Convert all your material, except blue Division Tech.
    2. Save what u got on yellow mats for ilvl 32 craftable gear.

For the Base of Operations Blueprints I would say you could craft now since the cost will be increased. But since Named bosses are guaranteed a HE drops, should be fine after patch.

I agree that converting your materials now is more important than crafting simply to get the most out of it. I feel Purple drops are gonna be my favorites come 1.1

Just make something if you want it, the only thing we really know for sure is that converting will get more expensive so make sure all the stuff you have is converted before the patch hits.

There will be better gear, but we don't really know how quickly we will be getting it or how available it will be from the start. Just don't use yellow division tech, all the other gear is going to drop more yellows more often so crafting will still take the same number of drops really... but division tech will STILL be the major bottleneck of the game.

It's massive's way of getting people into the dark zone who really really really don't want to get pub smashed by roaming groups of 6 to 12 rogues farming entire DZ's. Either have fun or get creamed getting better gear....

Why shouldn't we convert blue Division Tech now? Just curious.

Working theory is that no change is happening to the blue DivTech to Gold Part ratio, so why not wait until you can identify with accuracy what gold parts you need more of post patch.

The same argument doesn't hold for Green DivTech, because the ratio of Blue Parts to upgrade to Gold Parts is deteriorating significantly, so it's more efficient to push to Gold parts pre-patch from Green DivTech.

    Hope that helps.

For the record I'm not saying this is right, but appears to be the 'dominant wisdom'. Other opinions will of course vary.

I shutdown all crafting a couple days ago. Figure I'm almost rank 90 in DZ so I should have all new blueprints to play with.

I've been farming the DZ for materials and have almost reached my goal of 100 gold materials of everything minus division tech.

Going to be some serious crafting going on tomorrow.

Currently sitting at over 100 gold of each and 125 gold tech. So tempted to try and craft a better MP5, but I'm holding off. Converted all my Green Div tech and am holding onto my blues (about 550ish). Can't wait to see what the patch brings as far as blueprints.
