[PC] Crashing Mid Multiplayer (Custom Maps)

While playing custom online multiplayer maps with a friend, after a while, the game will freeze once for about 2 seconds, then unfreeze, then freeze again and then crash, saying "trials_fusion.exe has stopped working". I've deleted the game and reinstalled it, I've reinstalled all the redistributables manually (Steam did it too), made sure I have the latest graphic drivers and nothing fixes it. It's quite frustrating cause on maps we spend a while on, my game crashes then me and my friend lose our progress in the map. I got the game wednesday (4 days ago from the time of posting) and it never did this when we played multiplayer before (25 hours on the game).

My PC meets the requirements and the game runs without lag. I'm unsure if there's a crash log for this game, I didn't see one.

Another thing to note: it might not be custom maps, maybe just online multiplayer. It definitely doesn't do it in single player and it only crashes my game, not my friend's.

Any and all help is appreciated.

    Regards,
    Oliver

    Hello OliverDatGuy,

First, I want to say I am sorry for the problems you're facing.

It's very hard to understand what could be happening because the game hasn't been updated for quite a while now and if it was working before, it should be working now.

It may be due to some drivers issues or windows update? Did you try to rollback the last ones?

    Best Regards,

All my drivers and windows updates were already up to date. The last time I updated my graphics card drivers was before I got the game and they're still up to date.

It doesn't do it in career mode, I can play for hours and it doesn't crash. It's just MP.

I may have fixed it. Either coincidence because it hasn't crashed yet or something but here's what I did:
    • Lowered my graphics from "Ultra" to "High"
    • Set the game from "Windowed" (borderless) to "Fullscreen"

I'm unsure if it's one, the other or both that fixed it but let's hope it is actually fixed.
