I couldn't find any definitive information on their inclusion, so I would just like to politely lobby Ubisoft for the inclusion of wild animals in the game, both hostile and passive á la the Far Cry series.
South America has lots of awesome wildlife to choose from, such as anacondas and other snakes, electric eels, jaguars, piranhas, crocodiles, river sharks, other large fish and poison dart frogs. I would only be interested in realistic interpretations personally, which mostly the Far Cry series does very well, apart from the fictional demon fish in Far Cry 4 for example. I also think there should be a greater variety of aquatic wildlife (Far Cry 4 really just had the demon fish and crocodile), and crocodiles or caimans should move about rather than be static in the water. Also, I feel animals should spawn in random locations within a small specified area rather than spawn in the same starting place every time you fast travel, as for me this breaks the illusion a bit that they are wild.
In addition I think it would be good if animals had a variety of attacks, and with aquatic animals like crocodiles for more skill to be involved in defeating them than just lightly mashing the x button. I would be excited to see new mechanics for the wildlife as well as the hunting and crafting, for example perhaps photography and selling photographs for cash, or capturing animals alive to sell as livestock or for materials etc.
One other wish of mine is for the parachute and other flight physics in the game to be authentic.
Overall I think the game looks incredible though and can’t wait to see more footage come E3.
Keep up the great work Ubisoft!
